Thats where most people get deluded the consoles entry price, later on only to get ripped by extremely high prices of games. Thats exactly where PC wins.
For anyone who wants to play alot of games PC gamign is easily the cheaper option.

5770 is a great GPU, it never was highend even when it was launched. However its still an excellent Mid range GPU.
It will probably end up playing BF3 on high settings at 1080p with low AA. Which probably will be leagues ahead of whatever the PS3 will be doing. The choice is yours, however i would hands down buy PC version if i had a 5770. Also remember the PS3 version will remain stagnant, however few years later if you do decide to upgrade your P...

I dont see how you are in denial, Its true most of the hardcore games even today are PC exclusive:
MMORPG- are about as competitive and hardcore as any games can get, they offer such depth and to be competitive it just requires so much. Not much happening on the MMO scene on console.
FPS- There isnt an FPS on console that can be as realistic or hardcore as arma 2. If you are looking for a arcade experience then BF3 on PC this fall ...
Dont see how price is a barrier, you can be getting a 24inch 1080p monitor for 300usd which supports 3D. Add in a 600usd PC and you have a great setup for a system that does 3D in 1080p 30-60fps in most games.
PC also is the only system which supports a vast number of titles in 3D, both AMD and Nvidia have over 500games supported in 3D, in comparison PS3(which is the leading console promoting 3d) may barely have 35titles in 3D.
Dont buy games day one. Id be looking at 2-3month old games which are on discounts.
Unless you are playing on multiple screens i guess. Personally playing the game at 5760*1080, i swear this game is made for multiscreen lol. with GTX 580 SLI maxed out quality my setup is pushing about 130fps.
Most of my friends only use consoles for exclusives anything else is bought on pc, hence we dont really care about the console version of a multiplat, its known there almost always is a compromise. In this particular case the gap is just wider.

The console market actually has been on a decline since 2008. Nintendo sales are down they are starting to make losses. Sony is still making losses has yet to see a profit this gen. Ms is the only console maker actually making a profit. Sorry but console market is actually shrinking.
Dude thats how PC gaming is supposed to work, with future hardware in mind.
Check the history of all games that were technical leaps. Quake 2, Quake 3, Unreal, Half life 2, Farcry, Crysis. All those would never run maxed out on the hardware that was present at that time. Which ment we could enjoy those games at very good looking graphics when we purchased them(even on midrange hardware, same will happen on BF3).
However few years later when we do decide to up...

Lol true, if you look at this site its the PS3 gamers that keep praising the PS3 the most, even though graphics differences between PS3 and 360 are piddly at best, with 360 actually being better on most multiplats.

With console you are stuck up waiting for Sony and MS to give you that new hardware. Just read some of the threads these days where more then 50% of you are anxiously waiting for that new hardware but are just locked out at 6 yr old tech and yea that next big console system will be using dated PC tech doesnt look so big anymore.

No ones stopping you from owning a console with a PC. Also how many console exclusives are you touting here, the only real good game i see this year is Uncharted 3, aside that no console exclusive really interests me. Most of them are corridor shooters, which are dime a dozen on the PC.
In fact its the consoles that are missing out on whole genres. No good RTS, MMO, Flight simulator etc on console.
