Agreed, i think the game atleast deserves a 7. Also its very well optimized.
@coolcut135
cant say anything for heavy rain since its not on the PC. However BC2 is available on steam for 29sd which would be 106AED, thats a 100AED cheaper then what you paid. Big difference imo.
3.68 aed in 1 usd.
I am currently in the UAE. Game prices here for consoles are a rip off, a game will cost you 270AED here, its like 73USD. PC games still cost 49usd though.
You wanna play a real RPG which isnt linear like the stuff being sold on conosles these days. Try Witcher, now thats a real RPG, add in some mods and it becomes one of the best looking RPGs out there.
I am currently playing Risen, which so far has been awesome. Playing it on my eyefinity(3 screens for superwide view) setup so thats another bonus ;-)
Lets hope they dont turn the game into a DLC fest. Devs have been awefully greedy as of late.
Over 90 games bought on steam. I dont see a problem.
I think its a bit too much too soon. I have 3 HDTVs in my house (40inch+). All of which were purchased within the last 1 year. I dont forsee myself going for another TV anytime soon.
Also the fact that 3DTV just is too costly these days. If one was to buy a 2-3k usd worth TV, i would atleast want my games running in 1080p, which sadly no console is able to currently do in 3D.
I would rather invest the money in a PC gaming Rig which would atleast give the ...
lol why get this shitty game at all. all it is, is a MW1 rehash, just like WaW and MW2. Be prepared to buy 2-3 dlcs for the game as well.
Sure they only care about money and the only reason they are so successful at is because people are blindly willing to pay.
To be honest i dont see much of a difference between MW1, MW2, WaW or the upcoming Black Ops. They are all 5 hour campaigns, which could have easily been released as DLC. MP in any of these games isnt much different at all.
The only reason Activision took out the dedicated servers from the PC version was because of the DLCs they want...
Persoally i still play Warcraft 3 and enjoy it, its an amazing game. Heck valve still give updates for TF2 every now and then even though its 3-4 years old by now.
Its one of the reasons TF2 is my favorite FPS game out there. We dont see this bull crap about having to buy a new game every year with 2 dlcs released in between just for updates. Such stuff is ment to be free, TF2 does it the best (and still is selling very well btw).
Its just the console gol...
@double toasted
Well the PC version runs great, even on old hardware. Runs great even on my laptop which features a GTX260 1080p with max settings (no phy).
Ill be playing it on my desktop though, the demo left good impressions for me ;-)
Current consoles are very close to PC. With all the fans and stuff running inside its inevitable that dust will collect inside, sooner or later clog up the machine.
I clean my PC about every 2 months, there is a good amount of dust that gets staced during this time, a console not getting opened up for 4-5 years must really be clogged.
PC has gone mostly digital now.
I saw about 50,000 people playing Mafia 2 on steam alone yesterday, and it has been topping on steams charts since it launched so i guess it has sold well on PC so far.
Unfortunately Digital numbers are not tracked so we wont know the full story when it comes to PC. However do note Devs make alot more money when a game is sold digitally on PC, since they dont have to pay a cut to Microsoft or Sony(or incur packing or distri...
Might not happen, people wont be buying the same rehashed stuff everytime.
Yet dont be surprised to see the next one sell a ton.
Agreed some coop play would be cool ;-)
Yea i would rather they made a better story (first one was pretty solid though) and they add better graphical effects specially for the PC version, Physics was pretty good for the last one.
Its not only Sony. Any one having gamed online before consoles got online this generation, will tell you paying to play online is absurd. Not only that but Microsoft actully promoting stuff that is free on PC as charged services is rediculous.
Bought Trine for 5usd on steam on a discount. its a great game. Cant wait on Trine 2 ;-)
Its a good setup:
I7 920 OC'd to 3.7ghz
5870 eyefinity 6 edition in CF (each gpu has 2 gigs of ram) this is a bit extreme, since i want to be able to play at 4x AA when playing on resolutions like 5760*1080p thats where the 2 gigs come in handy.
For single screen gaming even a 5770 will run 95% of todays games in 1080p.
Witcher is one RPG you really dont want to miss, specially download the hi res texture mods when you do p...
