Agreed man i have personally decided not to buy any game on launch unless its a must have game like Portal 2 or Witcher 2 for me.

Anything else will be bought on Steam or D2D discounts. Still have a huge list of games to play from the last discount, just too many games to play no point buying new ones until they can be had at a good price.

@Ju

Sure the PS3 is far more advanced then the Wii, any hardware released within 6 years is. Emulation naturally requires more resources.

If the Cell is so powerful explain to us why Dreamcast emulation is only running at 7.5fps, sure it will improve with better coding however its in a piddly state at the moment no one knows if it ever will be running at fullspeed, same goes for the Wii.

@Rockmanll7

Id call Killzone 2 and Halo series vastly over rated. Half life 2 is a legend. Still selling so many years after its release.

Its more like PC has 90% of the games on the Xbox 360. Plus all of them are in HD ;-) an Xbox 360 emulator would be the last thing on the mind of a PC gamer.

You dont need a source for this, go ahead check their financials.

Both of them initially lost, 5-7billion usd when introducing current consoles.

Microsoft has only been making profits since the last 1 year, very small profits i might add.

Sony on the other hand lost 450million in the gaming division just last year. This year they made a small profit of 80million usd.

"What IF?"

That is a big question. Fusion isnt even released yet, it would take them few years to develop Fusion 2.

Moores Law suggests processing power doubles every two years. If Fusion 2 was to be released 2 years after the original (probably in time for Xbox 720) it would have mostly probably increased 2x in power.

Youd have to wait many years before we could get Fusion to work 10x to the performance we see today maybe a decade,...

Here is a link to Fusions performance preview, Doesnt look great at all. Even if Fusion II was double this performance it would still be unimpressive.

Barely runs games in 720p at a decent frame rate.

Doesnt cost much to own a PS3 for one. Though after looking at what Sony has done to the game, 800 poor looking cars dont think i am missing out on anything.

Rather its the PS3 users missing out on So many games being in Low res and low FPS.

It was exclusively Full HD on the PC since it was launched. Its only fair Xbox 360 users pay again and finaly get a HD version aka 720p at best. Though they probably will have to pay again once the next xbox launches if they would like a 1080p version.

Edit: why the disagrees, a remake wont be above 720p. For 1080p xbox users proabably will have to wait until the next Xbox an they cant expect a free upgrade from Microsoft thats for sure.

Agreed but since people would be busy recklessly moving their hands in different directions. How would you expect them to hold on to a controller?

Perhaps control the controller with the feet?

Lets hope they keep the PC version at 49usd this time. Judging by poor sales made on MOH they must have learned a lesson. Leave the 59usd to the consoles.

5541d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Lets just hope the game doesnt get dumped down due to consoles.

@the_only_lol_king

PS3 version will probably be the same as the 360 version. Calling PS3 "Very powerful" is misleading yourself and the rest of the gamers on this site. PS3 would get slaughtered performance wise today when even compared to 80usd entry level GPUs.

Isnt this releasing on the PC as well?

5541d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Long story short, Retailers thought they could take in much larger profits by going console(this would also include used game sales).

Specially where i am at PC games can cost 45usd, While the console counterpart costs between 75-80usd retail is making a killing, so obviously a low margin platform like PC was not of interest to them, when they could charge console kiddies a much higher price.

In came Steam and the rest of the DD network, For the month of ...

@AndrewRyan

PS3 and Xbox 360 are 5 years old now, hence it would be a shame if nintendo makes a new system and is unable to outperform 5 year old tech. Like Imvix said even if Nintendo try to cut costs and make a dam cheap system again it probably will outperform the current console by miles. 5 years in tech terms is very long time.

Well god only knows what they were using to render that trailer, it obviously had to be curtailed inorder to ensure the game ran at 1080p and 60fps(which also is not currently happening as frame rates dips in many scenes).

5545d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I agree with you for the most part. I think what happened here, was they were trying to keep the games at 1080p 60fps and also keep 3D playable. In the end the PS3 hardware wasnt good enough for their vision.

Remember the comments from them few weeks back saying, PS3 hardware has limited them. Those comments probably came out to make the fans mentally ready that the game will not be as to what they were showing in the trailers and thats exactly what has happened.
