Did you watch the GT5 trailers as well? lol id say the final product is no where close to what Sony was trying to pose in the trailers. Take trailers from Sony with a grain of salt.
watches witcher 2 trailer
laughs at Sony fangirls.

Back in 2006 you would need about a 1000usd to make a system that could significantly out perform the PS3 and even play current games in 1080p.
However there is a catch, Sonys business model includes selling hardware at a loss however selling software with royalities to eventually come into a profit.
When you add the fact that PS3 games are more costly then PC games. Over a period of 4 years, if someone was buying games on PC. ...
@bhai
You should be blaming Sony for only including such limited memory on the PS3, not crying about If PC had such and such memory, PC is designed to do alot more then games. It really does everything ;-)
Reality is PCs even back in 2006 were shipping with 2gigs of ram and 768- 1gig graphics cards. Those setups were running most games in 1080p. While having a OS running in the background.
If someone was to design a PC today for gaming ...

FADE (Forecasting & Analyzing Digital Entertainment) released figures for Steams october sales. Vegas sold 308,000 units on PC just in 10 days only on Steam. Add in retail and the rest of the DD network and it probably sold as well as any console.

Not to mention few weeks after launch console sales tend to dry up, because r...
If its 6 years old i would suggest you start from scratch.
Its ok man most console gamers rather prefer to pay for that stuff as DLC. Also they dont care if games lose support within 6 months after release since they are ready to buy the next rehash with minor updates if any.
edit: The media says console gaming is cheap, the media cant be wrong can it /s
Well you generally dont consider the price of a HDTV when buying a console, hence it would be unfair to consider the price of a monitor in that price.
Also the Monitor is a one time buy it wont be changed for years to come. You can get the OS cheaply specially if you are a student or else if you already have a machine you can make a new one and use your previous license.
@baka
There may be a crack with the pack, but how are you sure its not some Virus or keylogger? there is always a risk. Also the fact now a days the 360 version of the game is always on torrent way ahead of the PC version.
Where i am at you can get modded 360's from the market. You dont need to do it yourself. People who want to be saving 60usd per game wont care about the console. YOu could end up buying 1 console to go online and another to play all...
Lol nevermind the 10-20usd extra per game on console or the charges to go online.
Lately i been buying most of my games 2-3 months after release and getting them dirt cheap while the console versions are still stuck up at 60usd.
If the engine truely supports DX 11, ill make sure to pick this one up day one on the PC, otherwise it may still be a good purchase when its dirt cheap on Steam or D2D.
Nintendo may end up losing all their consumer base if they launch a Wii 2.
Anyone really wanting to play Wii games in HD, Dolphin has become amazing. Currently playing DK returns in 1080 @ 60fps 9x AA looks amazing.
Anyone with a Dual core PC running above 2.6ghz can enjoy Wii games in HD on their PC.
@Shok
Dont think PC was the worst, Once you consider PC has the highest user base and most people use it for torrenting stuff like Movies and music.
Overall on a sales basis PC is going quite strong. Recent sales number from games like Fallout Vegas show the PC easily competing with the Xbox 360 or the PS3. The PSP on the otherhand is a sales disaster asides Japan it hardly sells software anywhere around the world.
Most people on the PC...
Wonder how this comparies to Divinity 2 dragon knight saga.
This looks awesome, Recent tombraider games have been very good. Underworld was very nice specially with Mods it was even better.
Laracroft and the guardian of light was entertaining specially at the price point it was released. I even got Legend free with it as a pre purchase offer. Looking forward to this next one.
@Visualb
If you have a 4 year old PC which was created superior to console, then you dont need an upgrade to play games better then console. Yes there will be those PC titles that demand more HP. However console ports unless not severly butchered will always run better on the 4yr old machine.
You made it look by your post as if people constantly need to update their PC, which isnt true. To get experience better then console no updates are needed.
True EA has been desperately trying to ignore steam so they can promote their own Digital store. Sorry but people just love Steam. Not launching a game on Steam is your own loss.
Now where is Fifa 11 on steam and Dragon age 2 pre order.
Depends what kind of CPU you got before you think about going SLI. If the CPU is like a I5 or I7 overclocked to around 4ghz, go ahead SLI by all means.
BF3 is said to be developed with DX11 in mind. BC2 on PC looked very good. If BF3 really has a DX11 engine from the ground up and uses the same BF2 formula. It will be an instant buy from me.
The deal was just too good to pass up on. 9usd on the last steam discount. Cant go wrong at that price.
@Shadow Flare
Good job watching an alpha verion trailer of witcher 2 which is very old. Here is the latest footage from e3 2010 :

There might be a console version but like usual it will pale in comparison to PC.
Also Uncharted 3 will be as linear as it gets. Witcher 2 will be an open world game. With 16 different endings...
