Sorry dude i agree with everything else you say, however calling PC high maintenance is being misimformed. In fact once you consider:
Consoles cost 10-20usd more per game,
Microsoft charges you to go online
Xbox fails alot
Super expensive hardware accessories for the...

Personally i cant keep paying Sony or Microsoft an extra tax per game then have no gaurantees for BC... PC it is for me.

So why is 4 year old hardware constantly outperforming consoles? 4year old PC hardware plays most of todays games in 1080p, while consoles struggle to play 5% of todays games in 1080p.

Multiplats are 95% of gaming. How many good exclusives did Sony give you this year?
All i can remember is GOW 3 which mostly caters to kiddies and only a 6hour game and you got heavy rain which personally think is boring, rather watch a movie.
Asides that what have you gotten? oh yea there is GT5 which is constantly delayed.

Lol console gaming is very costly, you cant even compare it to PC gaming.
If Console makers provided the same prices PC DD services offer they would go out of business, first is the 10-20USD tax on standard games and deals like these are just a killing. Never gonna happen on console.

Lets not forget AMD has a smaller share of the GPU market and it probably sold DX10 GPUs at the same time as well. Hence you can atleast double those figures if you had in Nvidia.
Teamfortress 2 just got updates due to halloween, its awesome a 3yr old game is so well supported. I see no reason to invest in antoher FPS.

Dragon age crashes after firmware updates (something that you just must do, there are no choices, like on PC you may go back to previous drivers if a new driver causes problems).

You dont need the highest end tech to game on PC. In fact you pay more per game when it comes to the PS3.
As i mentioned above if someone already has a PC, even if it is 3-4yrs old it only needs a GPU upgrade worth 100-150usd to play the latest games in 1080p (thats cheaper then getting a console). Next even the games on PC are cheaper. Infact wasting money is exactly what you are doing on consoles.

Affording a PC is much cheaper then affording a Console. Average console gamer already has a PC this is a fact. Recent benchmarks from tomshardware.com suggest even if a quad core is running at 2.4ghz its enough to keep a GPU like 480GTX on it toes at resolutions like 1080p with everything maxed out. Hence lesser GPUs in the range of 100-150usd would require far less CPU power.

Blizzard would like its gamers to experience the game in all its glory. Gimping the game could compromise its brand image. Besides the game wont have very demanding requirements, will run great on even dated machines.
No exclusives aside gears of war 3 next year, shows Microsoft isnt makin much money hence isnt investing in any more exclusives.
While Sony too is making losses, I wonder how long these companies can keep bleeding. The share holders have to put their foot down sometime. For Microsoft this seems to be the case now.
There are other FPS out there that would provide the same fun factor. MW1, TF2, L4D2, Battle field 2, CS just to name afew.
I got about a 1000hours on TF2 so far, 19usd game released in 2007, gets updates from Valve every other month. Its a different game then when it was released. Along with Community support and mods.
Sadly thats what its comedown to, people brought it on themselves. I havent purchased a COD after MW1, since its only been rehashes later on.
Activision really is running out of ideas, everything else they do just fails. Asides what Blizzard does ofcourse. People will learn sooner or later, if COD sales were to go down Acitivision will have nothing left.

Steam discounts, bought bioshock 2 for 14usd few weeks after launch. Metro 2033 for 24usd, GTA 4 episods 7usd. Better graphics and performance are another plus. The same 6-10hour games on console cost a ton of money, prices almost never come down.

You gonna refer us to Unreal tournament on the PS3? So because mods are allowed in just one game out of 500 or so released we can count the console as moddable?
I bet mods are not being allowed so that consolers are forced to buy DLCs. This is exactly what happens when a system is controlled by a company. While since PC is an open platform every other game is moddable.
Yep Ruse looked like it will suck. Its only a check mark for Sony fanboys who like to boast Move is now being used in RTS. The same Fanboys that flamed motion controls when Nintendo launched it.

I dont see how anyone can play P2P once experiencing dedicated servers. I just dont like it when my ping is above 100. with P2P the ping can be anywhere between 150-200, maybe even more. Not to mention the other limitations where if the host disconnects the game pauses until a new host is found.
