This is awesome, only on the open platform ;-)
Lol @ calling Mouse clunky, its the motion controls which are clunky at best.
Google Windows 7 and Xp dual boot, dont see why it cant be done. Wont let me post the link, says its spam lol.
Played Donkey Kong returns on the Dolphin emulator. Was amazing, My friend who has a Wii played it on the Wii. The difference was night and day. Dolphin really has come along way.
On another note PS2 games run like a charm as well in HD.
Steam is Valves platform in the end, today a record breaking 3.4million+ people are online at one time (that figure easily beats the highest recorded XBL figures). Steam is growing extremely fast. Last year this time we would have been lucky to see 2.5million users online at the same time.
Games made for Xbox or PS3 are just a monkey making attempt this is shown as there is hardly any support for those games later on. Just like how Microsoft or Sony do all they can to suppo...
its an amazing game, it features everything gamers want today yet end up getting ripped for(specially console owners):
Dedicated servers,
Custom user created maps(alot better then DLCs),
Free content from the developer(better then DLC),
Mods,
Hilariously funny,
Can be had Dirt cheap gameplay that would put COD to shame anyday,
Looks great and runs flawlessly even on old hardware.
Getting the hardware isnt all what it takes to game. You need to buy the software too. PC games cost alot cheaper. Gaming on console in the long run is expensive period.
You can get a PC for 500usd that will wipe the floor with any console. However no ones stopping you from spending more and getting something light years better, with PC you just have options, with console you dont.
Killzone 2 was more of a muddy mess, dont see how people rate it as one of the best looking games.
@Jammydude
GT5 seriously got alot more hype then it deserved, i was expecting the game to look outstanding, however after the final game materialized it looks very ordinary. Specially look at the textures on the sides of the road or the trees, any place Sony doenst want you looking looks bad.
Getting a new computer will cost what 500usd max? Later on PC software is far cheaper. PC still turns out to be the most cost effective platform.
Yep Steam is worldwide. I tend to travel alot, i seen it work anywhere in europe. In the middle east and in countries like Pakistan & India, so yea it does work everywhere, you can use a mastercard or Visa to make your payments. Think they even have some other payment options.
Cant compare a corridor shooter like KZ to a game like Crysis.
Not hard to get one. Its not just the exclusive, every multiplat released is superior on PC.
Still isnt an FPS out there that can top TF2 imo.
For most PC gamers likely. I havent been to a retail shop in 3 years atleast, aside the time i went to buy SC2. About 150games on steam now.
Also retail never has the complete game library anyways, so pointless going there, on digital networks i can pick any game i like and when the discounts roll in it gets even crazier.
So PC version continues to be the lead version. Steam is holding holiday discount there is a good chance this will be on discount for as lil as 5-10usd.
PC gaming is truely the most economic and superior way to game these days.
A dual core with a 4yr old 8800gtx will run circles around the console version. Any present entry level gpu priced around 80-100usd will significantly out perform consoles.
@battleaxe
Getting it on steam would be a better decision, first it will be cheaper on steam. Second there is no gaurantee this will work once ps4 rolls out, with steam you are assured it will work for a very long time to come, perhaps forever. Which makes it a permanent collection. Plus Underworld on PC is just so much better then the PS3 version graphically and has mod support.
check out all these costume mods for underworld alone:

Its a freaking awesome game and a must buy, i made the mistake of preordering it from steam for 45usd. There was a offer from D2D to buy any game @ 20% discount which would have made this game for a mere 36usd. Wish i had waited. Anyways look out for the deals D2D might have those still up.
Thats the beauty of the PC gaming platform initial investment might be a lil more then console however in the long run its just cheaper then getting ...
Yet to play Oblivion which i bought for 8usd on the last Steam discount. Gonna check if there are any mods for that game.
