Well here is the difference between PC gaming and Console gaming:
Buy 1000usd rig in 2006 lets say its running games at 1080p 30fps.
Buy 500usd rig in 2010 runs the same game at 1080p but in 60fps (PC is performing @ 200% of the rig made 4 years ago at lower price).
Buy 600usd console in 2006, performs at a certain level.
Buy the same console @ 300usd in 2010, performs at the same level as before.
Wonder why they didnt blame it on the 360 piracy. If the game was a PC exclusive there would have been piracy cries coming from every where lol.
Ps3 version will be equal to the xbox version just like the rest of the multiplats. Only the PC version will stand apart.
I guess the only reason they havent done a PC demo is because then the xbox fans will cry how bad the xbox version looks even when comparing the PC version running on 3-4 yr old hardware.
This gen consoles really are getting old.

Its not like Crysis 1 didnt sell well. It sold 3million units as of may 2010(its probably closer to 3.5m by now), which is as good as any console exclusive. Not giving PC gamers a demo has nothing to do with Piracy.
It can either be:
MS $$ throwing its weight around,
Or not showing PC version because the console version will then look last gen.

Consoles = platforms owned by a certain company.
PC is open platform thus isnt a Console.
So many games out on PC and with the last Steam sales most PC gamers have so many games on backlog they really dont care.
Personally have about 10-15 games on backlog after the last Steam discounts. I wont be purchasing Crysis 2 or any of EAs games until they are on discount, 60usd per game is overkill imo.
Also with PC gamers, they usually have a large library to chose from. I currently keep jumping between:

Well yes if the PC sales figures were bad then they would have had all the reason to ignore the PC base. However with PC sales being healthy, it looks like something else is in play here. Corporate $$ looks like just the thing.

Crysis 1 sold on 3million units on PC as of may 2010
Crysis warhead sold 1.5million as of may 2010
The Above figures are very respectable figures even for PS3 or Xbox exclusive.

Its funny but as of may 2010 PC version of Crysis sold 3million units. probably close to 3.5 by now. I wonder how much more Crytec expects?

Lots of mods for the PC versions man. Consider a game like Left 4 dead 2, it may be on console, however it has 0 mods, no dedicated servers, charged DLCs.
Its almost even pointless bringing up the console version, when the PC version can be had for 5usd on a steam discount.

3 million copies of Crysis
1.5 Million copies of Crysis warhead.
Crytek have to be deluded to be ignoring the PC market.

Nope they are only counting physical copies sold, bulk of PC sales are digital.

It aint first part game development. Rather its taking away content from other fellow gamers. MS possibly has the worst tactics in the industry.

2 games from the PC front easily crossed 4 million last year, its not bad. Name 2 ps3 exclusives that crossed 4million last year?
Fallout vegas sold 300k in "10days" only on steam, which is not a bad figure, if you add in the rest of the DD network and retail figures it will probably jump to 600k. On PS3 during the same time it sold about the same. Hence PC is comp...

World of warcraft cata sold 4.7m already
SC2 last i heard sold over 4million.
games like Fallout vegas sold 300k on steam alone in 10days time as per fadellc and in retail number and PC was matching a system like ps3 or the xbox 360.

The Q6600 was an awesome CPU for its time, and even still its very good for gaming. I would recommend you overclock it to about 3ghz (it should get there easy).
You really dont need a fast CPU for games. Its the GPU where its at.
So OC the CPU(its an easy task). Upgrade the GPU to something like a GTX 560 or 6870ATI, and you will be set for another few years of 1080p gaming.
