The only hurdle with other platforms is the initial modding, later on its just download torrent and burn dvd, no need to worry about cracks that actually work.

Most games are now on torrent on console before PC versions and when a PC version does appear people need to wait for a working crack.

Modded consoles can actually be bought from the retailer you dont even have to mod the console yourself, thats how easy console piracy is. With PC you are actually ...

You want games to get fresh ideas, we need the developers to stop being greedy and give the modding community some freedom.

What Devs are doing now, is rehashing the same games year on year, this tactic cant last forever.

The Modding community has always played a good role in introducing fresh ideas. Unfortunately with the Devs being greedy they dont like modders increasing the life time of a game, which also stales any chances of fresh ideas.

Its a COD game, you dont need to do much to acheive that rating. Just need a 4-5hour campaign (not hard to make). Need to create 10-12 new maps for MP and you are done. Dont even need a new engine. People will just buy it because its COD, even though its just new maps for 60usd lol.

Its funny but when a console excluisve doesnt sell well you dont hear anyone complain. Alan wake sold sub 1 million no one complained about piracy.

When a PC exclusive like Crysis sells 3.5million+ developers go on whine about piracy.

Lets hope it never makes it to consoles either. We really dont need another game getting dumbed down.

Well BF3 should be PC exclusive if the consoles cant handle it. Badcompany should be shared between PC and Consoles.

If you feel you need to keep updating it, then you are doing something wrong. Any properly made 3-4 yr old pc will easily beat the console experience.

@whitenoise

True if a PC is properly made it can last a very long time and in the long run Pc will always be cheaper then console.

Also its worth noting that there is no gaurantee current games bought on console will work next gen, with PC you can be rest assured most of your games will keep working for a very long time to come.

We can only hope.

@newtype

Id agree with you, however there are no games out there that can use that sort of power. In fact most of todays games are fine running maxed out on a HD4870 or 8800GTX. Unless its some game with DX11 or is being played on multiple screens.

Nvidia and AMD need to push devs to use this hardware, otherwise there simply is no need for upgrades.

So many GPUs just wont scale properly. Dual GPU is the best scaling IMO, also there isnt a game out that needs so many gpus even when playing multi monitor.

580GTX in Sli is more then enough to play any game on 3 screens.

Eh atleast its something fresh. Not some article about the same 5 yr old hardware(lolcell) being treated as next gen lol.

Hold on a month after portal 2 releases i am sure it will be on sale for around 20-30usd.

So its either paying 60usd and getting both PC and PS3 version. Or you could wait a month and pay about half the money.

I bought Left4dead 2 a month after release and i ended up buying it for 34usd (on steam of course cant get that price on console).

Lol Steam sales say hi. Think ill buy just about every game out next year for under 150usd :P

5537d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You are mistaken there, some of us use PC as our primary platform. Personally i have over 120 games on Steam alone. My backlog is so large i dont even buy games on release anymore. When they are dirt cheap on steam in discounts thats the time i pick them up.

The amount the average console gamer spends on games would seem like a fortune compared to the prices you can get games at on Steam when they are on discount.

Would love to use Move as a controller for my HTPC, would make a good replacement for a mouse, even though it wouldnt be as accurate.

Console games sales are lower year on year. While PC gaming sales are higher, if anything Its the consoles that are dieing.

Its not just about the Graphics, while the PC is ahead in terms of graphics due to 1080p, PC also offers the smoothest frame rate. Constant 60fps without dips is very important, both the consoles are running between 25-30fps.

Also worth noting it doesnt require a high end PC to run this max out, an entry level one costing 500usd will do just that.

Developers are greedy bastards. Specially the likes of EA and Activision. I see them mostly throwing Ports of games to the PSP2. Since they probably wont invest money into making a HD game for the PSP2. They would rather milk the existing games on home consoles port them over to PSP2.

Why should a developer make an Exclusive game for the PSP2 when they could launch the same game on multiple platforms, then give PSP2 a port. As it is Devs these days claim they dont make prof...

Can you tell us the motherboard model you are using? Like i mentioned above q6600 is still good to go, getting it to 3ghz is a peace of cake. as kokkoii mentioned those cpus have been known to hit the 4ghz mark.
