What CPU do you have, if its anything like a quad core from intel running around 2.4 - 2.6ghz and you are gaming around 1080p with 2x-4x most likely it will be balanced. Now if you crossfire those GPUs then you may need a faster CPU.
More like a low end GPU like a 4850 ATI or 8800GTX from Nvidia plus any dual core cpu will be needed to run this resolutons beyond any console can handle.

Usually these games are very unoptimised, the Devs just dont have the funds to optimise on every platform. Take the example of simular games like:
Risen (Not released for PS3, On xbox 360 looks like a mess and runs badly)
Divinity 2 (again console version doesnt look good, PC version runs great).

Witcher 1 is now nearly 4 years old, with mods Witcher can easily rival the best of todays RPGs today in terms of graphics.
Cant wait to see what the modding community does with Witcher 2 and Elder Scrolls 5.

I dont see any use for the Kinect on my PC not for games anyways. I do however see it as a good controller for my HTPC.

There have been great RPGs on PC exclusively. However even the ones that are shared with console, the console version usually never hold up:
Witcher (PC exclusive, one of the best rpgs out in a long while, Witcher with mods looks better then any RPG out there).
Dragon age(console version is handicapped by controller and has low fps and textures).
Risen (its available on 360 but the game is a mess on the 360).
Mass effect 2(xbox version is decent h...
Paying for what should be free :P no deal will help overcome what is just wrong. When there are free networks like Steam out there, even the XBL being superior arguement is thrown out the window.
Personally i would like to see what sort of deals XBL is holding, though i bet they wont hold a candle to what was served on Steam and D2D this holiday.

Well for all we know the laptop might be running it in med textures, no dx 11 effects etc.
While its good Sandybridge offers performance comparable to Console. I would never recommend anyone to gimp their gameplay experience. Adding a discrete graphics card which has multiple times better performance will only cost 100-150usd.
