To me, hearing news right from the Respawn guys instead of some publishing executive seems to dispel all the corporate talk, marketing messaging, and promotional jargon, and reminds me that these guys really do want to make a game like this.
There are real people who are putting their biggest efforts and all their hearts into this game that they clearly have a strong vision and love toward Titanfall. Kinda comforting to hear that, in my opinion.
This spin-off's future will be determined on how well it sells. Wouldn't it be in Sega's best interest to continue a series that is enjoyed and purchased by consumers? If Sonic Boom becomes more profitable than Japanese-developed Sonic games, I wouldn't be surprised if Sega invested more resources into establishing it as something more than a spin-off.
Quite frankly, I'm more excited about Sonic Boom than another Japanese-developed Sonic game. At least Son...
I wonder what drove the aesthetic change. Does it have something to do with a Japanese culture element or even an Easter Egg of sorts?
Not sure. Still looks crazy strong. Digging the bugged-out look on DK after getting smacked upside the head. Exciting stuff for this game.
It might have something to do with Destiny getting a multi-console release, while Titanfall is only on Xbox One and PC initially.
Those five games alone will not get the Vita into more homes, especially since four of those games are already released and haven't done much to change anything.
There are amazing games on the Vita right now, but only the people who have a Vita already know that. Why? Because Sony hasn't been putting any kind of serious effort into showing this system off. I have no idea why Sony is neglecting this system. It's a great system and with so much good hardware that So...
Quite frankly, at least EA is addressing the bugs and putting the hold on future DLC until the bugs are remedied.
Can't say the same for WB Games and Batman Arkham Origins.
Why not just give the Vita a stronger identity with better marketing and more investing in original games for the system, instead of using PS4 remote play as a major selling point for it? Seriously, the Vita shouldn't need to be attached to a PS4 to make it sell. It's a damn good system on its own.
A PS4/Vita bundle would be better further along in the PS4 life cycle anyway. The PS4 doesn't have any huge games right now, but Infamous: Second Son is coming soon. Gi...
Sony, for the love of all gamers, make some integral games for this system. Not just ports, not just collections, and not just indies; games that feel tuned for Vita. Games that will sell your system's features.
Tearaway was right on the money. It was original, creative and it could only work on Vita. Make more amazing games like that instead of giving the Vita the year-old leftovers from the PS3.
"It would be like unveiling Half-Life 3, multiplied by a thousand."
That seems like a very unfitting comparison.
I'm one of the crowd that thought Unleashed was bad, but not primarily because of the Werehog. It was more because of the forced-revisiting design and annoying hub world. But the fact of the matter was that it was infinitely better than '06.
After Unleashed, Sonic got so much better. Nowadays, with Colors, Generations and Lost World, it's downright ridiculous to say that Sonic is "bad."
Dat parallelogram.
Horror games need good atmosphere to work well. Alan Wake just hit the nail right on the head. What an awesome game.
Isn't the game almost done?
If you're going to make an argument about market presence or install base, then make that argument. Don't use the fallacious "it's not next-gen" argument and just cop out.
Look, third parties need to step up their game on Wii U, yes, but saying that you won't buy Watch Dogs on Wii U because of this delay is just as much of a problem. People chew out Nintendo console owners because of that attitude.
Support good games on Wii U: first, second or third party.
Ubisoft got greedy and thought that releasing a game like Rayman Legends multi-platform would be worth competing with GTA V in market presence within the same month. Lo and behold, less-than-stellar performance in sales. And in some act of bizarre irony, the Wii U version sold the best.
Let's hope Ubisoft doesn't make that stupid mistake again.
By that logic, it shouldn't be released on 360 or PS3 either, since it "wouldn't be next-gen" and would be "dumbed down."
For a TV series to work, you need to be able to give individual characters time to shine and different kinds of episodes to appear; otherwise, it's tough to keep the series going for a long time and it just becomes a movie.
That being said, I agree that Borderlands would be a cool choice. There's a lot of mythology in that world, so you could see a lot of new faces. Same with inFamous. It wouldn't need to focus on Cole or Delsin specifically, but the idea of being...
That's not the point. The point is that it's hard to consider that an "easter egg" when it's so easy to find, especially one worth "revealing" 10 years later.
Yeah, it's hard for me to take this seriously as some big Xbox One system seller if the PC version is standing right next to it.
360 version's incoming too.
