It's good how involved Matt and Trey are with this game. Some licenses are just handed off to some random developer, completely separate from the license's creators themselves.
Definitely excited for this. It's been a long time coming.
Can I buy your copy of Smash Bros. Wii U? I'd love to play the game before it's released and before anyone has had a chance to play it and actually get a feel for the character's moveset.
"...a FTP Pokemon where you pay for Pokeballs or something..."
I'm sorry, but that is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard on this site.
How so? They're not the only ones offering free-to-play models. Steam's doing rather well on the free-to-play side with stuff like Path of Exile and Team Fortress 2. People will support those games because they're not asking for money any time you want to do something.
I don't think Nintendo will go down this "slippery slope."
I sure as hell want Ground Zeroes and MGSV, but I'm also sure that a lot of people gave Kojima a hard time during that "two hour campaign" deal, Playstation fans included.
Judging by your disagrees, the people believe arguing about which system is better is more important than experiencing both sides of the argument.
If you don't like Titanfall, fine, but don't bash the people who do. Vice versa as well.
Xenoblade was a lot like an MMO, but it was a good thing, since it took the best parts of MMO's and made it palatable for single-player.
I was hoping for a Bayonetta 2 release date, but sadly, twas not the time for it, I suppose. So much teasing, Nintendo...
This explains the Next Level Games retweet of the Nintendo Direct. They made Punch-Out Wii.
I read this comment in a Bender voice.
OT: I'd rather Microsoft stick around. Everyone hates on them, and while I strongly disagree with some of their efforts in the past, I like the Xbox brand enough to want it to stay in the cards. Competition encourages companies to top each other for consumer support.
The Street Fighter models of Sesame Street characters were funny enough, but the fact that it follows a Typing of the Dead gameplay style is just plain awesome.
I'm very curious as to who in the right mind would stop playing Bravely Default to play this.
@thegent
Kind of what I meant. Simply supporting it because they're excited for what Nintendo's up to. No real legal obligation, just a personal thumbs-up.
Some new Smash Bros. news would be nice. Even just a brand new character.
I had a ton of fun with de Blob, Madworld and Little King's Story. I'd even push Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, which is the best version of RE4 to date.
Some of the best games on Wii are overlooked simply because they're not first-party.
Next Level Games is Nintendo-exclusive, so they're probably obligated personally to promote the Direct. Platinum Games, on the other hand, is not, which means we just might get that release date on Bayonetta 2.
Look, the PS2 was in production until January of 2013, seven years after the PS3 was on the market, but when you're the only console of that cycle on the market (in a market where every bit of effort from Sony is focused on the system's successor), I have a lot of trouble considering the PS2 generation to still be continuing then.
If you really think that Sony gave a crap about the Playstation 2 in December of 2012, you're out of your mind. That generation, regard...
If a multiplayer mode really sucks, then you're not gonna play it, so there's no replay value anyway.
The resources that are used for a tacked-on multiplayer mode could be used for something more important, like fixing bugs, adding new quests or fixing up the aesthetics. If the multiplayer is that much of an afterthought, like it was in Tomb Raider, don't include a multiplayer mode at all.
DK's a hardcore gamer.
If a game is really good, you'll play it again. While I appreciate the existence of content-packed games, I'm more impressed by games that can just be boatloads of fun in short periods of time.
I'd rather have replay VALUE, not just replayABILITY.
