Man, Jump Ultimate Stars was crazy good online. It was as close to handheld Smash Brothers that we've gotten thus far.
Different games sell in the East and West. I doubt Infamous will do really well in Japan. It'll probably do okay there, but it won't "conquer" Japan.
Let's keep our expectations at reasonable levels, okay, Sony?
Look, I like the Vita, but I have a very difficult time agreeing with this line:
"The Vita is seen as this system with like, two worthwhile games and the 3DS is seen as this device with a plethora of amazing games constantly being released... Both of which couldn't be further from the truth."
The Vita has more games than two, but the problem is original content. HD collections and ports are not going to carry the Vita forward. In comparison, the...
I'd rather not. The story is so bonkers nowadays. I'd rather see a new protagonist for the next God of War. Kratos is just...meh now.
I believe that there is some sort of tolerable levee for DRM, but Microsoft rushed their interpretation of DRM onto everyone too quickly and too aggressively.
If their DRM was as unintrusive, but also as effective as Steam's, then I might be able to get on board with their idea. But Microsoft just shoved the idea on stage without giving any legitimate attention toward the consumer's perspective.
DRM is not inherently bad, but there's always an ext...
I swear, Molyneux only likes being different for difference's sake. He just likes being against the grain, but completely ignores the concepts of practicality and functionality.
The Wii U is not clumsy or awkward at all. Saying that is just an excuse for Molyneux to say "look at my avant-garde idea! Wii U, you can't handle my lofty, unachievable goals."
It's sad how companies are trying to trademark words, symbolic lines of letters that have existed in human history for thousands of years.
Good news that this one didn't persist.
It's still very buggy. You might be one of the lucky ones, because there are still game-breaking bugs in this game across all platforms.
This game is already getting terrible reception, so Angry Joe has a rage-packed field day with this one.
I think it'd be cool to see a new Dino Crisis game in an RE4-esque gameplay style.
I hope this single review wasn't the lone deciding factor toward you cancelling your pre-order.
You're 100% right. Sadly, though, with so many different rating scales and the ever-present use of score aggregation, it's so hard to tell when a game's score is "above average" or "average." It's a huge problem.
6/10 is mathematically equivalent to a 3/5, which is to represent the median score. It's an average game. It's elementary school math, gaming industry...
Go for it, Clifford.
After all this FFXIII related stuff, I'd be very surprised if Lightning wasn't in the next Kingdom Hearts game. Also...
"...bad-weather trifecta of emotions: Lightning, Squall and Cloud."
What emotions? Those characters are made entirely of apathy.
Definitely curious, but considering that you can't upgrade the Xbox One's hard drive, it's not like it's unwelcome.
I don't, because I know it would be better that way.
I can definitely see your point.
Nintendo games rarely have deep stories (though I still think how Metroid Prime presented its narrative was very interesting). AAA games of today demand a sense of scope and story is a really easy way to provide a broader scope.
But it's still a preferential deal, and I think indie developers are steadily beginning to embrace that story isn't a necessity. Guacamelee and Minecraft did that very well.

1998 was the best year in gaming and it still is. The Nintendo 64, Playstation and PC all got multiple AAA titles, many of which are now classics in every sense of the word.
I had no idea that you could steal Cherry clones or double-up on Super Mushroom at checkpoints.
