I don't think Konami had anything to do with this. If they did, why didn't they go after Layers of Fear too? Really, I expect some kind of dispute with Team17, the company that took on publishing this game. Either way, this is a heavy loss, as I loved PT and was looking forward to a game that could successfully channel that same aesthetic. I guess we'll learn more in time, but...man, this sucks. :(
Because it shows that Mighty No. 9 is going to be terrible. The cringy narration only proves that the devs know this and they're not even ashamed of how terrible this game looks. They have nothing left to lose.
He's already said "no more delays" before, so pardon me if I'm skeptical of Inafune.
This is a problem for developers, because they'll have to not only make games that work on both the PS4 AND Neo, but they also need to invest time and resources to make sure that the game plays objectively better on Neo, solely to justify Neo owners purchase of a stronger console. That's a narrow tech window: the games have to run on both, but they must also run BETTER on Neo. If they don't run better on Neo, Neo will not be worth the premium price required. People will just buy a...
No love for Madworld?
Kimishima said that the Wii U's name was confusing and bad for marketing before the console even launched. And he was right. I think he knows his stuff.
The Chinese Room should stop wasting their time fishing for controversy and spend more time making better games.
I'd like my console launch to have great games at launch. Wii U and 3DS didn't have good launch lineups at all. That being said, I wish Nintendo would at least give us some new NX info at E3.
Sure. Sexualized male characters don't bother me in the slightest and I highly doubt they'll bother any significant section of the gaming community.
Whatever ends this "discussion" where scantily-clad fictional characters magically affect real people's actions.
Considering we're being charged for "base insurance" and song rentals in Guitar Hero nowadays, I guess we haven't gotten far. :/
Sony actually has the library to make VR a worthwhile purchase. If they can keep the price low enough and release enough compelling software at launch, it'll do well enough. Rez is already a big advantage.
Game had a great lock-on system. Oh wait...
You're also not trying to tell the truth, Gamestop.
Game's pretty campy based on the early build I played. I guess something must've concerned Twitch in later updates. Lame that they aren't explaining anything to the dev.
Played the game all the way through. Has way more problems than many reviews I've seen have addressed. Very poor voice acting and dialogue. Lackluster puzzles. Bad connection of the different characters, despite them being related. Terribly useless character that the player controls. Uninteresting environments. A narrative that preaches tolerance while treating it very unrealistically and in an unbelievable way, making it 100% insincere.
It's not the worst game ever, ...
I don't believe that people who aren't going to buy a game should get consideration over those who will buy it. Obviously, there will be situations where there absolutely will need some kind of modification to fit in with actual law, but denying a game localization or cancelling a project entirely because of potential outrage from people uninterested in it in the first place seems like nonsense.
Rare are the masters of sexual innuendo in video games.
I actually won a game by getting third place in a round. Was lots of fun. It'd be great if more "live game show" gaming could return, because it was a fun idea.
"It’s far past time that the gaming community as a whole starts respecting video games as an art form."
Every gamer already believes this. The problem is that many "critics" believe that a game like Super Mario 64 or Persona 4 CAN'T be art. Most people demanding games to be recognized as an art form aren't actually looking for games as art. They're looking to appease the critics from other mediums. This is why David Cage is so demanding on limi...
I've never seen an article use such nebulous language before, and based on that, this article really has told the public nothing.
