Someone figured it out, metal in the controller wearing down the graphite on the chip that detects the stick's motion. Very serious design flaw. If they're using the same parts in the Switch Lite, this is going to be disastrous for Nintendo.
Well, there will be continual balance changes to the game going forward with these comp changes, so I wouldn't expect the initial patch to last very long before more roll out.
Been away from OW for awhile, am excited to get back to it though.
I'll have a PS5, but I definitely won't feel like I'm losing when I'm playing the sequel to BotW, I can assure you that.
That's what most people want though lol. The most obvious innovations going forward though, which we can see with more power, are better VR and haptic feedback, better physics and AI, and more realistic lighting.
That's Nintendo's whole schtick though, to say things don't exist until a planned announcement. I'd bet money it really is in development lol. Splatoon 2 sold very well.
It depends on how long Nintendo plans on supporting the Switch. As long as people are buying it, and software, they'll keep going. I believe it could end up being their longest supported hardware, outside of the Gameboy. Especially if Switch ends up hitting 80 million sold, that's a huge install base for a Splatoon 3, or any other first party title.
Only reason to get older model would be hopefully it's not a bootrom patched version and is hackable.
That's up to retailers. I doubt they will be recalled for any reason. They'll sell through their old stock first before ordering more.
World is excellent, for sure. It definitely would have been nice to have greater monster variety, but I understand the challenges in development. We mostly got dinosaurs, when older games have all manner of monsters. Spiders, other insects, frogs, sharks, monkeys, you name it.
Truth. To anyone that does want the classic MH experience, the game has well over twice the monsters (and therefore twice the gear and abilities) that World does. It is hard sometimes to go back after being spoiled by the visuals of World though lol. Still a great game to grind during the wait for Iceborne.
World is an amazing, awesome game. It is missing alot of content from previous ones, but that's understandable given the amount of work already out into it. They have a good engine, character models and animations to use going forward. Also, Monster Hunter has always had a bit of a problem with accessibility. I appreciate it it for what the game is, and not what was taken out. Generations Ultimate is still available to play as well, and is classic MH.
Manufacturing purposes, as well as security. Gotta be cheaper for them to change to this new chip, otherwise they wouldn't have. And original one is too easily hacked.
Every piece of hardware has a failure rate unfortunately. I've had one Xbox One controller last me five years, another brand new one didn't make it six months. Sticks on Vita needing to be replaced. Dozens of controllers over the many years needing replacement at some time or another. Some last years, others fail out of the box. I haven't had any problems with either pair of my joy-cons, thankfully. The problem is that for those that do, they're damn expensive to replace. Prop...
All the companies do it though. PS4 Slim and Pro, Xbox Slim/Whatever, X, digital only. There are always multiple hardware versions of consoles going back generations.
That game is the main reason I bought a Vita lol.
Redacted.
Entirely different industry. High end phones are ridiculously advanced pieces of hardware compacted into such a small form, with billions and billions in R&D. A high end phone, paired with high speed data, means we are basically already cyborgs. They supplement our way of being and brain power, and are already symbiotic with ways of life in modern society. Any information you could ever know you can receive in the amount of time you can speak or type it. Most people also aren't buying...
PS5 has a good chance of being more than $399. That's how much the PS4 Pro still costs, and people are expecting an entire generational leap over that.
No, they shouldn't. No need to complicate and drive up the cost of manufacturing in its beginnings. Wait until newer components are cheaper, then make a reasonably priced upgrade a few years in like they did with the Pro. Think of how much a premium version would cost. You'd be getting into PC territory.
Not really, dropped one of mine once and immediately started having problems with it. Xbox controller is definitely a tank though lol.
