Mostly quality! I still feel burned by Star Fox Zero lol. That game should have never had those controls... :/
And then price drop, and new Mario/Zelda/Pokemon/Mario Kart/Splatoon/Metroid/Donkey Kong/etc. If the Lite hits $150, and the base model $200 at any point, it's gonna start selling like crazy.
Eventually, as by the time it launches, Switch might have 50 million or more sold, and with price drops, will continue to sell alongside PS5, so PS5 has to sell big numbers to pass it. PS5 could very well sell 100 million units, but that's going to take years after it launches.
We're not seeing 4K dedicated gaming on a mobile chip anytime soon.
It's a very strong brand right now, it only makes sense to continue the idea with Switch 2, and having backwards compatibility and VR. I think there's a wait and see right now though, because no one knows what kind of tech we're going to be using by the end of next gen. If streaming isn't taking off, and the others aren't cornering that handheld market, then it only makes sense to continue to do what you do best.
People are pretty wary of the new Pokemon, for good reason. It's still going to sell well, but might be the worst selling main-line game in the series.
Outselling N64 very soon!
Depends how well software is selling. Say if games like Astral Chain and Daemon x Machina sell respectable numbers, publishers and devs begin to look at the platform as a good place to sell mid-range budget exclusive titles that wouldn't cut it on what people expect from the upcoming next-gen machines. I honestly think Switch will end up being one of Nintendo's longest lasting systems.
Strong IP.
It's media, meant to inflame arguments to get to the front of websites like this for click revenue. It's easy money.
Still sold 37 million xD
People want it.
Only downside is that the moment, it requires a whole separate SD card, no running this off any partition, and it's a little buggy. Other than that, it's awesome.
Mindblowing in the sense that for some older people, even in their 30s, fifteen years ago doesn't feel like all that long. I remember the first time I saw a download of over 1MB/S, or the first time I saw a streamed video other than some looped flash bit. Shit blew my mind. YouTube has only been around since 2005. Since I was a teen, internet speeds have increased by thousands of times. Technology is really improving at an unbelievable pace, and some people don't realize how much so a...
Bought it as a teen on Xbox when it came out, graphics blew my mind. Original Xbox was ahead of its time. Still probably the best Gen in gaming altogether, between that, PS2, GC and Dreamcast. Good days...
There were like a million PS2 games, good luck lol. Is Dark Cloud 2 on this list? Onimusha or Shadows of the Colossus? GT3. Fuck, I miss that gen.
Reporting back, this game is awesome. So far the story is slow to unfold, but there is a constant feeling of sinister undertones waiting to peeled back. Recommending this one.
Like I said before, it's more like all the big three are worried about what Google and Amazon can do in the future. The level of tech, data and engineering those companies possess could put them ten years ahead of the competition in no time.
Nintendo and Sony know, they need that kind of massive tech power, else all three could become overshadowed by Google and Amazon in the future. Just the level of control those companies have over the way we live is staggering and frightening. Data is one of the most valuable resources in the entire world.
Let's release them all separately, and then we'll remove the version that had them all bundled! OH, and we'll add DRM!
Can anyone tell me the last time Bethesda did something that was okay? lol
But yeah. The DRM on Switch was for what, to hopefully stop hackers for half a day? As a business, you NEVER cater to that one percent that are going to scam, steal from you, etc. They're going to get around your shit and not pay for it anyways, while the people who d...
A question I have, is when we approach true realism, including lighting, physics, AI, etc, how many studios are going to be talented enough, and have the budgets necessary to utilize all this and pull it off correctly? For instance, good animators are hard to come by. Look at the dumpster fire that was ME: Andromeda. What if some games look more of the same as this gen, and a studio comes right out and has to say "Look, we're sorry, but we don't have the budget to make this look ...
