At a rock solid 30, with perfect frame pacing and smart implementation of motion blurring, it shouldn't stutter. You'll still know it's 30fps, but if a game is stuttering and struggling to maintain even 30, there are probably loads more problems with the game lol.
Depending on the game, sometimes performance modes can look very soft and muddy on a large screen. There should always be the option for people who want to toggle, however. Not having one just screams performance issues and development troubles.
People made the same argument about Gotham Knights, and look how that turned out lol. Lack of performance options now, when it is practically industry standard, just hints strongly at development issues and performance problems. If any studio had the ability to have a performance option in a new game, they would include it. In my mind, just having one mode at 30 fps means the game probably won't even run solidly at that.
The original RE3 was a rush job in the first place lol. It was supposed to be a spin-off interquel, but the creators were forced by higher-ups to make a numbered sequel. The areas that were cut from the remake were also never intended to be in the original either, and were slapped in when it was deemed to be too short. I know people still enjoyed it, but RE2 and RE1 were both better crafted games.
The last traditional Final Fantasy game with an overworld was FF9, almost 23 years ago lol.
RE4 next month, Jedi Survivor in April, Tears of the Kingdom in May and then FF16 for June. Oh man.
Also didn't hurt that Awakening was hands down one of the best games on 3DS.
Diablo will be multi-platform, but for anyone who owns a PS5, FF16 is most likely going to be considered a must buy.
The team that is working on FF16 is compromised of absolute all-stars. The game is going to be amazing. There are veterans from some of the greatest FF and Square games at the helm, and the combat was designed from the guy who planned Marvel vs Capcom 2.
That's management all the way, man. If your team can't complete the work you're delegating to them, find out why and rectify it. Train better, get more organized, hire the right people. Also, might go without saying, but treat your employees with respect and don't be an asshole. You can't blame team projects on the employees. These studios have hundreds of employees; If they're all incompetent, why was someone hiring them with six-figure salaries in the first place lol...
Or it could simply be that he was lying lol.
It's more like Xbox is failing spectacularly right now. MS has bought all these studios, and they've released nothing worthwhile. In the last 5 years, I can't think of any decent games they've managed to put out aside from Horizon 5, Ori and Sea of Thieves. This is abysmal management all around. Halo Infinite could have been great, but after years of development, 343 only had half a game, and now they're getting busted down to a support team for the franchise. MS is spendi...
Can confirm, Sony doesn't give a crap lol. As long as you're not hacking trophies, you can legitimately download games and play them online, no problem. I've had mine hacked for years.
Persona 4, Xenoblade Chronicles, Tales of Symphonia, Vesperia and Arise, Dragon Quest 8 and 11, Ni No Kuni, literally any of the Trails games (Seriously, Trails in the Sky SC is the single greatest game I've ever played).
Damn near every single person that owns a PS5 is going to buy FF16 when it comes out lol. And then even more will buy FF7 Rebirth.
Most sites just want clicks, and they'll go against the grain just to get them. If there's a massive consensus against a game, yeah, I'd be apprehensive, but other than that, do research and form your own opinions. For questions on performance though, Digital Foundry will definitely be doing a very thorough video on this update.
Huge library of great games with a modded Wii U. Virtual console, including injections, emulation, Wii U, Wii and Gamecube games with Nintendont on vWii.
I don't see how it would be too costly for them, when even a 1:1 Switch port would sell far better than the Wii U version ever did. It'd sell a million copies easy. Also, it is kinda crazy how good that game still looks.
Armored Core V was already 10 years ago, and Fromsoft has come a LONG way since then. They won GOTY with their last two games in a row now. I'd be surprised if this didn't end up being the best Armored Core game by a longshot.
I don't even know if it's 343 at this point. When is the last time Microsoft has released a game on time, or that was any good, or wasn't plagued by management and development issues? I seriously can't name one in recent memory. Halo 4 was a fantastic game in almost all regards. Good story, incredible graphics for the time, it played well despite some difficulty problems on higher modes, and fun and fast multiplayer. They did great work with Halo 2 Anniversary as well. Halo 5 ...
