I'm guessing with the newer assets, engines and mechanics, etc, that the levels probably take up more space than in the first. Can definitely be a hindrance for some, but hopefully they'll find a way to allow more in the future, if the game proves to be a good seller and widely used over time. I do appreciate the instructional videos they added in level design principles and philosophy, however. They are a great insight into how great platformers have been created.
If you haven't played Symphony of the Night, it's one of the best games ever made. Inside was fantastic as well, and from the creators of Limbo.
Yes, which sucks for sure, but the digital version does have a bundle with a year subscription for $10 extra. Also, the game does have about 100 or so pre-built single-player levels (might be more) that are part of a story mode. And a cool class or lessons of sort on philosophies and principles for level design.
Game Freak makes up only a small amount of the money from the Pokemon Company now that Pokemon Go made over 5% of the total revenue alone that the entire franchise (movies, merch, games, toys, etc) has made in over 20 years. This is the truth of mobile gaming; it's lucrative beyond belief. They're covering their asses by making other games in case they get the boot by the company and Nintendo some day soon. They obviously weren't given the time and resources needed to create what ...
Probably would be smarter to make a pack of N64 games for the Switch, and include it free as part of a bundle for new console buyers. Mini consoles are great and all, but those games still have so much appeal that it would definitely draw people to buy Switch hardware.
You'd think so, but it's really not lol. Companies can't just dump roms onto a shop and have an all purpose emulator, it doesn't work like that in the legal world. With licensing, working the code, testing, advertising, server fees, it all has to be treated like you're creating and releasing an official game. It might not make them any money, or they may simply not have the resources and staff available to work full time on releasing decades old games for $10 tops. I poste...
No Mercy is probably still the greatest wrestling game ever made.
People would go nuts over Mario Kart 64, Mario Party 64 titles, and Smash Melee online. Would be fantastic.
What do you mean? I own two. Also a PS4, Xbox One, Vita, 3DS, modded all my other consoles going back generations xD.
I still play my Switch almost every day, it's a great piece of hardware.
I'd rather just see Wii titles reworked into HD versions. Wii resolution was very low. I just want Xenoblade Chronicles HD...why Nintendo, why you no make this happen.
It's not awful, just underwhelming. Needed more good exclusives, fit for handheld gaming. People that want to play God of War and Uncharted are going to want to play those on home consoles instead, as they are meant to be cinematic experiences. Just doesn't translate well and seems unnecessary for a small screen.
It functions better as a PSP and PS1 machine than it does actually offer great exclusives. Although Persona 4 Golden in itself is damn near worth the price of admission. Best bet is to find one cheap that needs joystick replacements and do it yourself. Sony should have put more effort into supporting it, and getting more exclusives fit for a handheld market though. I have mine hacked, and even with the entire library available, there's maybe five games that interest me outside of the PSP ...
I'd like to offer some perspective please. It is very easy to emulate these games on a computer, but there some problems. One, emulation is not perfect by any means. Most emulators use high level emulation, which is basically hacking the game to force it to work. What you're playing is nowhere near hardware accurate concerning visuals, sound, what is actually going on with the code, etc. Many problems can arise, which could prove to be disastrous for a dedicated console. Glitches and ...
Have a legit version on ps4, and the leaked version on Switch. Game looks great on handheld, pixel perfect, but it still runs 720p in docked mode, and looks very, very blurry considering the small character sizes. It's not good. Not sure why they decided to add more effects and keep the resolution the same instead of upping the pixel count. Also, it runs very hot, but this may all be due to the lack of patches. Also, the loading times are very long even on ps4. Probably poor optimization ...
Wonderfully crafted game, but I do miss some of that Order of Ecclesia difficulty. Once I beat it, onto the harder difficulties to see how it is.
I hope I'll live to see a FFIX remake some day. Still probably my favorite game.
We will see! I do wish them the best though, as many people would love to see Square Enix make a new masterpiece.
Well, if it's to be taken at face value, then they weren't happy with the quality, so they shifted development, so I would consider that spending more time and money on it.
If we're getting Doomguy, then we also need Master Chief lol.
Does that limit have anything to do with how good the game is though? I do admit, it could be a downside to some of the most prolific creators, but there is still the choice of keeping levels on local storage and choosing which 32 you'd like to have uploaded at any time. Those people with the most popular creations are most likely going to be active in the community, on discord servers and forums where this can all be discussed and potentially voted on. I do hope they expand it in the fut...
