Thank you for the clarification.
I'm pretty sure Nintendo owns Monolith Studios, the company that made this game. They're a Nintendo 2nd party developer.
@affrohop
Tell that to the Gamecube man. There are many factors, including the ease and price of development, licensing and promotion deals, whether or not the market will support the game, dealing with the hardware companies themselves, etc.
Gotta love gaming when 6/10 best sellers are cut-and-paste yearly releases. Depressing.
Yeah, because turn based combat really works for a blockbuster game in 2016/17. What the hell were you expecting? I KNEW the combat was going to differ. Random encounters and such just don't work anymore with the level of graphical realism and level design games have reached. Much of the storyline in the game is going to need to be altered as well, to fit into the world and keep any sort of continuity. As long as it's FUN, and tells a good story that tries it best to adhere to its sou...
You could say that about any current home console, if you're buying a new game at launch. I own multiple consoles, and I've never once regretted buying a Wii U. It's unfortunate that it has such a small library and install base as there are some true gems on the system. Xenoblade Chronicles X is amazing so far. Still, between that, Fallout and Halo, it's not like I should really buy any more games anytime soon anyways. Hell, I probably never even got halfway through Witcher 3 ...
This is most likely the last generation using optical drives. The read speeds are just too slow. There would need to be an advance in the tech, and even then, new tech is expensive. Look at the PS3 and Blu Ray. Granted, the PS3 sold well, but if I remember correctly, not at launch due to the staggering price. Optical storage disks are cheap, yes, but going forward the limitations will probably outweigh the benefit, especially as games grow larger and larger. It makes more sense to mass produc...
Who cares man? It's going to be great. I'll pay full price for it. Bayonetta 2 was one of the best games I had played in awhile when it released, and I have no doubts I'll be able to say the same about Scalebound.
The beauty is not in the technical performance, which minor issues aside, is still pretty great. Solid frame performance and good animation. Geez, it's like you kids just started playing video games or something. Name a perfect video game and I'll never play one again. Morrowind on Xbox used to crash every half an hour, and it's still one of the greatest games I've ever played. That aside, no, the beauty is in the art direction, which is top quality. Monolith are an amazing st...
Tomb Raider should have probably been delayed until next year. Regardless of console, within the last few weeks, Black Ops III, Halo 5, Fallout 4 and Battlefront have released. People aren't made of money, and many others, like myself, simply don't have the time to play so many games at once. I decided on Halo and Fallout, and then Xenoblade Chronicles X within the next two weeks. Tomb Raider never stood a chance.
Something that Nintendo will most likely have realized is that for a very successful console, they'll need the power for third party multiplats. It's been said again and again, but if you look at the 10 best selling games of 2014, only one of those games was from Japan, being Smash. All the rest, Western developed multi-platform titles. Consoles and console games are just not as big in Japan as they are in NA and Europe. It's sad to see, truly, as once upon a time every big name w...
Crisis Core should be on this list.
Boost Guardian, Metroid Prime 2.
I can see it now. Children wandering into ghettos and construction sites/traffic to catch Pokémon lol. All little Jimmy wanted was a Pikachu. Instead, he got stabbed by a hobo. Pokemon, not even once.
Despite the reviews, I haven't seen any posts from actual owners of the game that say it sucks.
Witcher 3?
I enjoy my Wii U, but I feel like Star Fox might be one of the last games that comes out for it anyways lol. I got my fun out of it. I'm looking forward to the NX at this point.
I'm buying this, but part of me thinks that it will feel so wrong playing Banjo Kazooie on an Xbox controller...
"The technical issues stem from the lack of true local LAN functionality on the Xbox One. In order for multiplayer games of any nature to be host on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, at least one player in the lobby must maintain a smooth online connection to Xbox Live. Due to unforeseen circumstances that have compromised the stability of the required Xbox Live connection, the games have become a live catastrophe."
How is this 343's fault again? It may not be ...
Seriously, I have this over Witcher and Fallout.
