Have you tried recalibrating any of them? Helped alot with mine when I started to have some minor drifting.
I've had one of my Xbox One controllers for about five years. I've taken it apart once to clean it (cat knocked a drink on it and I needed to avoid liquid damage), but it still works great. I haven't had any problems with my 3 year old joycons either, thankfully. About a month ago, I did experience a little drift, but it went away completely after joystick recalibration. Hey, Cory did what he wanted to do with God of War, and look how that turned out. An absolute masterpiece. I'd rather the guy do something that inspires him, that he'd enjoy, rather than anything else.
Because if many developers can get their game running at 60fps, they're just going to keep improving the graphics until it runs at 30fps instead, because graphics are a bigger selling point. Gonna be the same thing as long as there are home consoles, no matter how powerful they are.
Doesn't matter how powerful a console is, AAA developers are often just going to prioritize graphics and push 30fps. Runs at 60? Add more effects. The market and statistics have shown, for the average consumer, graphics and name brands are the biggest selling points.

Before digital distribution and and streaming became widely prevelent and adopted, E3 was like how Christmas felt for kids. It's been in a huge decline for years. I bet ten years from now, when the technology is available and easier, it will return with VR events. We might end up seeing alot of things like that.

For developers, yes, I'd say that changes in how they're able to create games, and not just push graphics is more exciting. This last gen, we got better graphics over the previous mostly. Now, we can have different types of world building, physics, AI, ray tracing, etc in console development. Gonna be a big step forward a few years into this next cycle.
Title doesn't say home console; It just says console. Regardless, Animal Crossing sold 5 million copies digitally within 11 days. Massive success. DS/3DS were great handhelds, and I still have mine (all modded), but I'd never prefer those over the Switch. It's a great console man.

Final Fantasy games (and most turned based RPGs for that matter) have always been incredibly linear. If you stripped away the backgrounds from the original, you basically have small corridors to run down in between cut-scenes and dialogue, filled with random battles. E3 was great when G4 was around and at its prime: Before the prevalence of high speed internet, streaming and social media. That and gaming magazines were some of the only ways to get news, and to see new content from the gaming industry. It's been obsolete for ten years. It was like Christmas back then, but the magic died a long time ago. Been saying for years, doesn't need to be a thing anymore.
