With BC, if you already own the game and want to play it again, you'll be able to patch it for free and play a better version of the game, is why. Better believe I'm gonna be checking it out lol. Also, this is CDPR; They're probably going to add texture and model improvements as well. They took alot of pride in Witcher 3, and still do, as they very well should.
Breaking NDA can have legal consequences depending on the contract. Could be sued for damages. Probably unlikely, but you sign a legally binding contract.
#1 Trending video on Youtube. Trust me, this is going to sell like crazy and Nintendo will laugh all the way to the bank. Anyone on this site has probably played and emulated these games to death over the years. This is a quick holiday release for the average consumer, and they probably decided on it this year after development troubles with other games.
Either way, doesn't it seem kinda of concerning if both companies seem scared about their own products? Doesn't give one a great deal of confidence lol.
I bet if they're very expensive, and get any sort of negative publicity, Nintendo immediately announces a Switch Pro and gives BotW2 a release date for the same day, alongside a price drop of the base model and Lite.
Aside from BC and improved user experiences on new consoles (like instant save states and switching between games due to SSD), neither has really given me a reason that I need to buy right away. I mean, I will anyways, but the whole thing just seems kinda lackluster at the moment. If we all still had great first party games coming out for both, I doubt anyone would really care if the entire next gen didn't happen for another year.
Data and library concerns aside regarding Stadia, I was actually blown away when I participated in the Project Stream beta. Playing AC: Odyssey a year and a half ago on my crappy, old laptop felt like future tech. It ran really well. I don't have much interest in streaming services for gaming now, but I can see it becoming more commonplace and viable in the years to come.
Because that can change really quickly. Look at Microsoft. The 360 was incredibly popular.
It's a big factor in the buying decision, and people would like to plan a big purchase like that (I do understand some don't have many financial concerns) in advance.
Imagine if both companies delayed console launches LOL. Everyone would explode.
Unless WoW is finally getting a console port, it has nothing to do with consoles lol. It's been a PC exclusive for 16 years now about. More so, I'd say that technology has finally gotten cheap enough for mass market, and that's why we're seeing it in the upcoming consoles now.
Terranigma is on this list, nice! That game is incredible. Definitely the best game in the Quintet trilogy.
Chrono Trigger still one of the best RPGs ever made.
Sounds like they've been hiring alot of muscle to get this game into a good state. I don't care how long it's delayed; Halo needs to be a great game.
People wanted Sony to support the Vita more. I don't know why they didn't just make a PSP2, would have been such better branding. Problem is no one really has the IP that translates to portable as well as Nintendo does. God of War, Uncharted, etc, on the Vita are all much better served as huge, blockbuster games, and just really aren't as fun on such a small screen. If you're into modding though, Vita is one of the best options. Having access to PSP games, and native PSX games...
If there's going to be a Switch 2, it will most certainly be backwards compatible. Wouldn't make sense not to make games, because even with a new hardware release, you'd still have the entire library available to you. I have a PS4, Xbox and Switch, and will certainly be getting next gen consoles, but good games are good games.
Nope! lol. Two Zeldas, Pikmin still coming out, Fatal Frame 5, Xenoblade Chronicles X, a Starfox Zero rework, and Mario 3D World would all be good additions to the library. Yes, ideally, we all want new games, but having more games to play on one platform is a good thing.
The water in that game STILL looks amazing.
Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD do definitely need ports though. Metroid Prime Trilogy HD would be welcome as well.
...should port Fatal Frame 2 remake (amazing game), 4 and 5 as well xD
And Gamecube games! Ports aren't necessarily bad, if they're good games that are hard to have access to.
Christmas is when you want to be selling those games though, if possible. Not having anything (which I'm sure there will be announcements in September) would be a very bad business move, and indicative of big problems.
Development got completely scrapped because Nintendo didn't like what they saw, and handed it over to Retro studios to begin fresh. They took a huge financial hit from it (both from dev investment and share prices), but hopefully we'll get a better game out of it.
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will probably look amazing on console with a next-gen update as well.
