I don't mean it's equal in greatness, I mean in concept. In game design, execution, graphics, Death Stranding is incredibly polished, and Kojima has decades of experience under his belt. If you were to study game design, games he has created will inevitably be discussed and learned from (MGS changed everything), the same as Kubrick will be discussed in film class. I think Kubrick was a great director, but I also know film nerds who will argue vehemently against me for saying so.
Sekiro, Fire Emblem, MHW: Iceborne Expansion (pretty much an entire game worth of content), RE 2, Death Stranding. Maybe some Luigi's Mansion as well. All the best games I've played this year.
It's like a Kubrick film: A masterclass in film theory and execution, but some people will find it slow and boring.
I believe this is a mod chip solution, opposed to a soft mod. Requires hardware modification. Won't be used nearly as widespread as the original hacking method that's been patched. Someone will inevitably find a way in time though. I don't think there's ever been a console that's better to hack than the Switch.
Art style and talented devs beats graphics any day. There's a reason why Witcher 3 is still more appealing to look at than most games.
Add games like OoT, Super Mario 64, Halo, Gran Turismo. All changed the industry in ways that are still copied today. It's been awhile since a game has felt truly different or mind blowing. I'd say Breath of the Wild is probably one of the most forward thinking games this gen in terms of mechanics, physics and game design, and even that seems more of an intelligent refinement rather than something truly new.
A significant leap in the tech over what we have now, which is what people want, isn't going to be cheap. Diminishing returns, shortages of chips, etc. Not unless we wait a few more years for next gen anyways.
Gamecube too!
It's honestly the right way to go, to try to get the story back on track. 4 was self contained, but 5 and 6 got reeaall messy. 2 remake was fantastic, and Capcom had been on a roll lately. More horror, less western action is the right move.
Which ones aren't on Xbox? Aside from RE7VR(which I do have on PSVR), I have 0, Remake, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, Revelations 1 and 2 on my Xbox lol.
Few years ago everyone was saying it would be DOA. Switch has exceeded everyone's expectations.
I have disliked the series since BO2 (loved that game), but Modern Warfare is really good. Feels much more strategic online with the cover system as well. Run and gun gets you dead quick.

Easy, you have suits running the company that not only don't know a damn thing about gaming or its community, but don't care about it either. The plan is to make as much money as possible, as quick as possible, and either cash out or sell the company. They'd go all mobile if they could.
This is the most amazing thing I've seen today. What a legend lol.
Weird, I thought 3 was the worst and played it a bit too safe. Scholar of the First Sin is a vastly underrated Souls title.
Here's my thoughts: The gameplay loop might not be enjoyable for everyone, and that's true for any game. I'll argue all day that Chrono Trigger is the greatest game of all time, and someone's going to argue back why it's absolute crap. That being said, you can't deny the level of detail and thought that was put into Breath of the Wild. When you have developers, directors, art designers, etc, within the gaming industry that are very well known and successful praising th...
Overclocking. The Switch's chip is severely underclocked by default in both handheld and docked modes, due to battery and heating concerns. You can bring it up to its factory speeds without having to worry about damaging the hardware though, just gonna shorten the battery's life.
I'm sure next gen is going to look great, but you're never going to see a game on par with a tech demo graphically. Remember the Wii U tech demos?

Oh, I know, I've had mod chips since the PS1. The Wii didn't really need one though, just needed SD card and game exploit. What I mean is that there are very few people willing to open up their consoles and solder, opposed to how easy it is to soft mod a Switch. It won't be incredibly prevelant.
