I bet we'll get a Direct this upcoming month, for game/s coming out in November. They want to keep the release as close to the announcement as possible to take advantage of hype. They've been doing that quite a bit lately.
That's the cool thing about Deus Ex though, is that every problem and mission can be approached from many different angles. You don't have to stealth if you don't want. You can set up your abilities to be able to shoot your way through everything. Brilliant game design.
Amazing game. Although, doesn't help that the definitive edition (with some major game changes) was on Wii U. Also, Mankind Divided was seriously underrated.
How much it sells will influence the games you get on the console, however. Companies don't risk putting their games on low selling hardware.
Alan Wake, what a game.
Halo 4 was great, and reviewed very well on realease. Halo 5 played well, and was fun, but the story had some really big problems. One being how much they rely on having to know information from the expanded universe. Halo lore has gotten very, very bloated. There's dozens of books, comics, animations, etc. It's way beyond most people to want to keep up with. Second, reusing a boss three times shows they had some technical and development limitations, and revolved parts of the story a...
Hopefully, the wow factor will be less for graphics, and more for things that weren't possible before. More destrucible environments, permanent world changes (like footprints, cutting down a tree, destroying a building, etc, staying there throughout the game), smarter AI, etc.
That's up to the devs. Sony and MS aren't going to force devs to have a standard of 4k 60fps on games. And graphics sell, so expect to still see alot of 30fps games at less than 4k, because they'll prioritze other things. I'd rather have more physics calculations, better AI and effects, RT, etc, in single player games.
FFXV wasn't even really that much of open world. So many areas were completely gated off. The problem was the side quests sucked, and there wasn't much to do. Witcher 3 did quests and storytelling throughout an open world just fine.
Also one of the darkest stories in any FF game, which many have overlooked due to the art style.
Could release a finished game, that'd be nice. The holes in FF15 were very evident. FF7R was pretty great though.
They should just make a sequel to FFIX lol.
I do believe they patched some of the issues. It was really bad at launch though, I think more due to poor optimization than anything. At launch I was even getting some slow-down/stuttering on PS4.
I said the same; That's how it started anyways with System Shock. Space Station, or another planet/moon. Infinite had the sky, parallel dimensions and time paradoxes, like, where do you go from there?
And yes, I know, System Shock. Been a long time since that game though, and Bioshock does have an identity and gameplay of its own.
Giant space station setting. Zero gravity segments akin to Dead Space. Future tech, with that old school, Bioshock noire charm. Would be excellent.
I've called that one already lol.
I think 343 needs some better direction, and to hire some serious muscle. Halo 4 was a fantastic game when it came out. Great graphics, polish and production value, good gameplay, solid MP. The cracks started to show in 5. The MP is still fun, but the story's direction wasn't the only problem with the campaign. Reusing bosses multiple times showed development issues that were glaringly obvious, even when I was playing it. And then the Infinite reveal. Smacks of poor leadership.
Have you played Trails in the Sky?? If you like the Cold Steel series, this is very, very important. Trails in the Sky 1-3 (first games in the series; they are all connected) are literally the best games I have ever played in my life. They are all on Steam/Vita.
Like, no joke, if you can't afford the first one, I will buy it for you on Steam so more people can experience the amazing story. To anyone reading this, if you like jrpgs, go buy it now.
There are reasons for some to get an Xbox over PS5. Obviously, Sony is going to have very strong exclusives. I do, however, much prefer the UI, controller, and online functions of the Xbox. Most of my friends and family also play on Xbox, so it's more of a social experience. Menus on MS are typically easier to navigate, and I have far less problems with party chat/forming, and online connectivity. BC on any new console is a plus for anyone with a large digital library like myself. I use m...
It has a large library of enjoyable games, and many people like the portable factor of it. Not as powerful as other consoles, but it's without doubt the most impressive handheld console ever made.
