It's Platinum lol. Over-the-top anime action.
Less than 40 percent of displays out there right now are 4k. Then ask yourself, how many of those TVs/monitors are even half-way decent to begin with? I'd rather have a good quality 1080p monitor than a poor quality 4K TV. The percentage of people that are REALLY going to be able to take advantage of true 4K visuals, HDR, etc, is very low at the moment, because it's expensive. I'm looking to get a new 4k monitor for the XSX, but man, anything good is gonna hurt my wallet.
No, because the CPU in it is terrible compared to the one in the XSS.
99 percent of games on XSX and PS5 will be multi-platform. And from what we're hearing about specs, XSX will run them better. Granted, Sony always does end up with a great exclusive library by the end.
Depends how well it sells. If it sells out like crazy, and people buy alot of software for it, then developers will cater towards that market. Likewise if people keep buying cross-gen titles; They'll keep getting made for longer than if they didn't sell.
Wind Waker HD was developed by Nintendo. What I'm wondering is, if BotW 2 is coming out next year, how many other Zelda games would they feel comfortable releasing as well? Last Zelda collection was on Gamecube, and that was four games. I mean, there's LttP on the SNES online, but we're still missing the Oracles series, Minish Cap, Link Between Worlds, N64, both of the Wii U HD remasters, and a Skyward Sword remake is missing. I'm not counting DS ones or Four Swords lol. I dou...
For anyone interested, this is a great AI upscaling mod for the Steam version (also available in a lighter form on Switch, if you have a modded console and are familiar with layeredfs). It looks so nice: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I think I will always put FF9 at the top of the greatest Final Fantasy list.
I think we're going to see AI upscaling of textures on hardware start to be implimented this gen. It is amazing tech.
The Series S is also LESS EXPENSIVE and has less memory than a One X lol. It's not a 4k machine and they've been pretty upfront about it. It does however, have much newer and efficient hardware/software.
I'm getting a Series X anyways. Now just to find a good 4K monitor lol...wish my wallet luck.
You're concerned about the cheaper Series S, when the Series X blows the One X out of the water.
Hopefully the network adapters and drives will install them fast too LOL.
Depends how much time and effort a studio wants to put in for optimization.
At the same time, games were the same price 30 years ago. You can't tell me that any game on SNES cost as much to develop as a AAA game today. Adjust for inflation, and games back then were selling for $100. Also, I do believe that Sony and MS are probably selling these new consoles for a bigger loss than this gen, and need to recuperate the costs through game sales.
For instance, even with localization staff, A Link to the Past had about 40 people that worked on development. Gam...
If you adjust for inflation, NES and SNES games were about $100. Even N64 games were selling for $60, over 20 years ago. Prices going up was inevitable, unfortunately.
This is why I'm going to be waiting on PS5 in general. In two years, all those great single player games will still be good, and the price will drop big time.
We should all be pushing for more cross-platform play this whole gen, so we can play together on multi-plats, despite the hardware choices we make. Works out for all of us.
Expensive, on both sides lol.
Switch has definitely carved its own place. Like others say, best as a companion console. Although, once Monster Hunter Rise comes out, I will drop every other game I am playing for at least a month lol.
I think if the Switch got even a $50 price drop, the sales would really pick up, especially during this holiday.
For me, it's Series X for multi-platform and multiplayer games, and then I will get a PS5 once there is a really solid library of exclusives. Although man, Demon Souls looks gooood. Bluepoint is amazing. The price on the games will have dropped by then, and I'll hopefully be able to get one for a good deal. Maybe even refurbished.
Well duh, it's a stronger worldwide brand. Doesn't mean it's going to offer a superior experience, as much of that is subjective. Xbox has never outsold PS outside of most of the 360 gen until its end. Doesn't mean it wasn't great fun and value to many of its purchasers. That's what should matter to buyers.
I'd like to see a complete re-imagining of LttP's story in a Breath of the Wild style. That would be something else.
