The steam Early Access sales are 1 million+ now. Pretty good game and can be quite brutal depending on the ppl you meet.

It's quite bare bones for now as the game is only about 10% complete.

Can't wait to see where they go with the game.

You realise World of Tanks came from the PC, right?

I played it a few years ago when it was still in beta.

Great game and only got better with the new engine physics but the devs got a little greedy and messed around with the XP rates and ability to make money without a premium account.

This game is not $60 for everyone else outside the US.

It's £50 here in UK which is approx $82. This is for the digital PC version.
The PS4/Xbone version are the same price.
Then there is a £9/month and in game cash shop.

Guild Wars 2 was £50 at launch too but it has no sub just a cash shop and the GW2 devs add more content all the time. So that statement about the monthly sub paying for a superior experience and to add more...

Scrap that. I was moving to right for Mantle and thinking that was Mantle.

4430d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

This has nothing to do with Nvidia.

Mantle is an API from AMD and is in direct competition with Microsoft's DirectX.

Get your facts straight before u start with the fanboy trolling.

@GentlemenRUs £2000 PC? Man you were ripped off.

The most I've paid for a PC was £700 but it lasted 5 years+ and I just upgrade single parts to get it back up to spec again.

Learn to build PCs it's much cheaper.

I have 790 games on steam so I know what I'm talking about more than you! :P

The problem with PC gaming is it's an open platform and no one company is championing it but it is also it's greatest strength.

Most of the PC exclusives are on console now like Call of Duty, Battlefield, The Witcher and even the MMOs are on consoles like FF14 and Elder Scrolls Online.

Being an open platform means a lot more indies can self publish and become profitable. It's also easier to patch, add free DLC, create mods and take risks on PC whe...

Yup just downloaded over 20GB for an MMO which is in closed beta atm.

I live in UK and have Virgin Media as my ISP. No limits just a fair usage policy.

Using steam daily, I can dl a lot of data but it never phases me as my bandwidth is unlimited.

Early Access is a lifeline for many small indie developers but to others it's a cash grab.

I will support the former but not the latter.

"You know what pays? Having a working game."

Maybe you should tell that to EA. Sim City and Battlefield 4 both were not working games at launch for weeks/months after.
This is coming from a multi billion dollar company and you're complaining about unfinished work on Early Access? <...

No thanks I don't want Microsoft back to PC. They've made it plainly obvious they want nothing to do with PC gaming.
Let them sink with their Xbox console and hopefully their games division is put to rest by the new CEO.

You've just listed an indie game - Titanfall.

Respawn are not owned by any publisher. EA is just funding their game via EA Partners.

Respawn owns the Titanfall IP not EA or Microsoft. This is why I think Respawn will part ways with EA to make Titanfall 2 multiplatform.

@thekhurg You do realise that Respawn Entertainment are an independant developer or "indie" which you despise? The devs that are making Titanfall with backing from EA but are not owned by EA or Microsoft.

Such prejudice from gamers for indie companies which are responsible for most of the best games you play today.

A shame that some people think that all games should be created by a publisher and not indies like Respawn or Epic.

Planet Earth. What planet are you on? :)

I'd rather play any of the kickstarter games than the lacklustre Final Fantasy games.

Final Fantasy died when Squaresoft merged with Enix.

We'll find out if it's the same in February for the beta test.

Will be interesting to compare PC and Xbone versions of the game.

Why? You get enough shit for preordering.

Most betas are marketing betas to persuade people who haven't preordered yet to preorder.

Those who have already preordered should be happy with what they get and not ask for extras just because they put money down pre release.

MS paid for lifetime exclusivity not timed for Titanfall 1 only.

I expect Respawn will part ways with EA after Titanfall's release and make Titanfall 2 a multiplatform game.

4440d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

So you still have to preorder to try the beta? That's not beta that's just marketing crap.

Oh well i guess I won't be trying out Titanfall any time soon :)

It's not terrible but I agree it's not a Thief game from the original on PC version. It's more consolified now. I guess that's to be expected.

It reminds me more of Deus EX HR or Dishonored than Thief.

I'm still quite looking forward to the game in it's own right though.

They can sell 10 million to retailers but if only 2 million customers buy them from retailers publishers will have poor games sales.

BTW can't retailers sell unwanted stock back to the manufacturer as the retailer has to have room in their warehouse to keep all the stock?

Microsoft should care if their customers buy their console otherwise the support from 3rd parties will dwindle like it has for the WiiU.

This is why Titanfall sales may ...

@thehitman You do realise most of the console developers today started off making games exclusively for PC.

Infinity Ward/Respawn, Epic, Bioware, Bungie, and many more all started on PC platforms.

CD Projekt Red is one of the best studios atm and they were a PC exclusive developer.

PC development is just easier and with lower overheads than consoles so most developers start there.
