Of course it's $60 it's an EA game with MS exclusivity "donations".

It'll probably have DLC and microtransactions coming out of every orifice :P

And for the added benefits PC gamers get forced to use EA Origin download client while paying a premium price.

Yes this version of the game is. The originals on PC were nothing like that.
You had to avoid combat or you were dead. You just couldn't fight against the guards. It was a much more methodical and careful game where you had to plan your next move or suffer the consequences.
That's what made it so scary and tense.

The new Thief is a more action orientated game where combat is permitted as you would most likely win. In my eyes it's not a true succes...

I don't. Not after Rome II mess. They are one dev studio to be wary of.

I don't know how DICE or EA can say that with a straight face.

Battlefield 3 and 4 have been a mess since their launches. You can dress up a turd however you want it's still a turd underneath all the fancy graphics.

If a multiplayer game isn't stable and crashes alot it isn't worth shit.

I dread to think what Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect 4 will be like on Frostbite engine.

@Charybdis No this game is a Origin exclusive too so it will never be on steam as EA don't like to sell their games on competing digital stores.

I'm unsure of Titanfall especially in EA hands. I mean look what happened to Bioware and now DICE. They seem to just ruin game creativity and their dev studios all for the mighty dollar.

Forget about any console version for next year or 2. They won't hit beta on PC for at least another year.

They aren't even using ARMA3 engine but the less compatible ARMA2. It might be a possibility on consoles if they were using ARMA3.

The game has potential but the devs have to get a handle on the hacking in the game for it to have any chance of being a major success story.

I say that but they have already sold over 700k+ copies of ...

Yeah uplay is so awesome it deletes save files in their cloud and ubisoft don't have back ups so everything is lost.

Happened to me with AC4 I was 60% complete when they decided to have maintenance and not tell anyone so alot of ppl lost their cloud saves.

Difference between XBL and PSN:

PSN was a targetted hack by experienced hackers,
XBL was DDoS'd by an immature troll on twitter.

Next time learn to know the difference.

I can see why you only have 1 bubble :)

Let's get one thing straight.

This is a DDoS attack on steam by immature little pissants not a hacker group that broke into the system and stole personal details and credit card info.

What happened to PSN is totally different and should not be compared to what is happening now on steam.

Right back at you with console users. Console gamers aren't all angels either.

I have 700+ games on steam. I guess I'm a pirate too by your low standards.

Of course it's PR BS. They want to sell a previously released game at full price again on the new consoles and try to get away with it.

They probably will do as well as most gamers are sheep and will bend over and take it even though they knows it's wrong.

Microsoft were never going to allow competitive pricing. They are all about control and parity and you can forget about cheaper games from MS. They charge for everything it's in their policies.

The Witcher 2 devs wanted their DLC to be free on Xbox but MS stopped that off so they had to add it into their retail version so their customers could get the free DLC like the PC customers.

You want cheaper games get a PC. If you want to be nickel n dimed all the...

Until the high street retailers are no more you will be paying higher prices for digital downloads. The retailers call the shots not MS/Sony or any other publisher.

They can't dictate with PC games as the retailers don't sell many boxed PC copies anymore. This is why digital is so cheap on PC but publishers still try to inflate the prices in their own digital stores.

I'm expecting the developers to get even more lazy this time around as they don't have to try to fit all their textures into the RAM at their disposal. So optimisation will go out the window and brute forcing their way to better performance will be much more common.

I mean look at CoD Ghosts the min required RAM on PC was 6GB till they changed that in a patch as the devs were inflating the system specs required to run the game to make it seem like it was "next ge...

And all you console gamers were saying how expensive the PC was to buy and now it's not when it comes to PC parts in a console?

I wish you'd make up your mind :)

4464d ago 6 agree25 disagreeView comment

Yeah that's fine if you want to own 4+ year old games.

PS+ offers newly released games for the price of a subscription which you need now for multiplayer anyway.

We're all renting our games really even steam games. These companies could easily shut down their servers at any time and we wouldn't have anywhere to download them from.

This is the digital future. Being controlled by large corporations so we can play games we buy but do...

Its coming. The only way you can stop it is to stop buying your favourite games that are always online.

And I doubt that will ever happen so publishers will push it through regardless of what the core gamers want.

Quite a few of the G4WL games have already been patched to remove the abomination that was G4WL.

Such as the Batman series which are steam games now and Bioshock 2.

Only a matter of time before the rest of the games are patched to remove the DRM.

It's not an MMO so no. It will probably be the best version of the ARPG due to Blizzard unwilling to fix the PC version properly.

If Blizzard can't be bothered to fix their PC version they might as well just make games for consoles from now like all the other PC devs that abandoned the platform.

Oh and asking £35 for the expansion on PC is taking the piss. It's like they don't want the PC version to sell well for an excuse to move to cons...
