For all we know the person could have thrown the controller against the wall or out the window because they got stuck on a particular game but decided to blame Sony for their mistake instead.

This is why I hate social media as it blows things out of proportion which then becomes Chinese whispers and it escalates from there.

This is probably an isolated incident and won't happen to everyone's controller.

Roll on 22nd November when peop...

The graphics card in PS4 may have been high end a few months ago but it's not any more compared to Nvidia Titan/780 or AMD 290x.

I'm hoping they optimise the games in a few years as the first few titles devs just seem to want to bulldog their way to higher performance because they have 8GB at their disposal instead of doing any optimising whatsoever.

Btw in the article the guy asked his programmers about the card. He personally didn't have a clue ...

It's a bloody PR stunt. Why tell you they support your current graphics card when they can deceive you into getting a new one? :P

What is it with these corps and their shitty PR atm? First MS, now AMD and Activision (with day 1 patch on PS4 for CoD Ghosts for 1080p).

They must think their customers are stupid or something. We are pretty informed gamers now. Maybe a few years ago this shit would work on us but not anymore.
It's the internet age...

I'd rather play the indies on PS4 (well I already have on PC) than the AAA shitfest we have atm.
CoD, BF, Batman, AC, same old shit year in year out.

Have any of you console gamers even played the indie and F2P titles for PS4? Games like war thunder, warframe, don't starve, trine 2, contrast etc etc.

All brilliant games and well worth getting for any games platform.
I can't believe you are discrediting indie games and thinking they...

I wouldn't worry about PSN. It's been solid since Sony improved it. On the PS3 the store was only slow because of the lack of RAM available. It shouldn't be a problem with 8GB available on PS4.

I would hope that Live is better considering you did pay for that service and still do.
PSN is free and still will be but you need to pay for PSN+ to play online games.

Yup I compare Rare to Infinity Ward. They are both developers in name only.

None of the talent that made those 2 developers great are working for them anymore.

4526d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Microsoft is the opposite of talent creators.

They suck the life out of developers and spit them out a shadow of their former selves.

Why can't people see this? When you buy an Xbox you are supporting everything that is bad about gaming.

I hope MS next CEO gets his way and sells off the Xbox division.

Yes and where are the rules for the corporations that ban their customers from their own consoles?

In 2 weeks the console will be released in US. Are they going to keep the console banned or apologise for their draconian ways?

The customer shouldn't be punished in any way whatsoever.
This was the retailers mistake and MS's mistake for shipping to retailers 2 weeks before release.

It sounds like the customer was doing a better ...

What the hell do u think Gaikai is? A LAN party?

Sony is also prepared for online gaming too not just MS.

Most of PS3 online games had dedicated servers anyway. It's nothing special and if you have to mention it like it is then MS are in more trouble than I thought.

Yup will be buying the PC version which doesn't launch till 22nd November so another 2 weeks wait.

I'm used to it though as Ubisoft always launch the PC version last.

Wow sounds like the PS4 is getting most of the best indie and F2P games that the PC has to offer.

If only that worked the other way around too :)

Its not terrible but it does get very repetitive and is a real grind to get the weapons and classes you want.

I played it for a few months on PC. It was a pretty fun game and you definitely need to join a clan for the base building and research capabilities to get the most out of the game.

I would describe it as a short term game and something to play while you're waiting for other games to be release in the coming months.

I would love to rate the missions but I'm a PC gamer and Ubisoft hate PC :)

Maybe in a couple of weeks when the game is released.

I skip all these shooters nowadays. It's just the same old shit in different packaging.
It reminds me of Madden when all they did was update the rosters and called it a new game with full price tag.

Even though AC4 is same shit it does have a really long single player with an open world to explore so i'll put my money on that on PC.

FPS games like CoD and BF lost me a long time ago when it became all about the same old multiplayer with differe...

@LoveSpuds But without the first games on PC the console iterations wouldn't have existed anyway :)

Titanfall comes from the Infinity Ward devs which created CoD on PC first.

Most games all root back to the PC not consoles.

It's only publishers that buyout the IP and market the hell out of them on consoles that they have become so successful.

But never forget the PC gaming roots like MS has.

"For the PC elitist's out there, always remember that without the consoles most of the AAA games you are enjoying wouldn't see the light of day without the console market."

Which AAA games? You mean Call of Duty and Battlefield? Well without the PC you wouldn't have seen them on consoles as those games were PC exclusives years ago :)

Most of the consoles games you play were PC exclusives or direct descendants to PC games like Bioshock fr...

LOL it wouldn't sell on "next gen" consoles as you really do need mouse and keyboard.

It's not an action/adventure game but a proper PC RTS game.

4533d ago 6 agree2 disagreeView comment

Exclusives at launch means nothing.

MS have never been very good at keeping that momentum going throughout their consoles lives.

Whereas Sony have had exclusives coming out of their ears for all their consoles from when the console launches till 2-3 years after their next console is released.

So people saying MS have the most exclusives and trying to discredit Sony because they don't have as many new exclusives at launch is laughable. <...

Not yet Mikeyy. 22nd November release for PC.

4535d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

@xxV0rschlaghammer Erm yes it will. Titanfall is using the modified Source engine that powered Half Life 2 and Portal 2.

It's not a demanding engine and is highly optimised by Valve to run on low/mid end PCs unlike the Watchdogs engine that Ubisoft are using.
