"has anyone played that game?"

I think maybe a few people have...maybe.

@goldenxbox: You were right. Published by MS. Guess that kind of confirms exclusivity. Last Remnant was the Square game I was thinking of. Not sure why I get those mixed up all the time.

As opposed to xbox live on the PS3?

He did call the animation PS2 like. Then again, IGN tends to be a little unforgiving when it comes to minor graphical issues. The premise of this game alone makes it sound a lot more interesting than Enchanted Arms and a lot more mature than Blue Dragon. Could be cool. Is this one 360 exclusive? I always get this one and that other new Square RPG mixed up.

I had to wait outside Future Shop three days in a row in the snow for hours and I still couldn't get one. We left Future Shop once after the guy had said the shipment hadn't arrived yet. On the way home a courier truck passed us going towards Future Shop...we turned around. No luck.
Then my girlfriend gets a call from a friend of hers who works at a grocery store. 15 minutes later I had a wii in hand and a $25.00 grocery gift certificate for my troubles. Guess I lucked out. That's two ...

@Xgamer: being a rabid fanboy is one thing, I mean you must not have much else going on in your life right now so you focus on belittling people who chose to buy a different gaming console. I get that. Fill your boots. What bugs me is that you're trying to make fun of PS3 owners for using the term pre-alpha which is a generally accepted term in the software development community. I suppose I shouldn't let it get under my skin, but hey, I don't have much else going on at the moment either. <...

It's actually from Gamepro.com so I think you're good. Gamespot is owned by CNET. Gamepro says it's owned by IDG entertainment...whatever that is.

I honestly never thought the Euro store would get something first. Reaction to Kane & Lynch has been less than stellar, but I love me some new demos. Looks like I'm making a Euro account.

@Xgamer: There is such a thing as pre-alpha. The game hadn't gone into the alpha testing phase at the time of the initial demonstration. How is that made up? Guerilla admitted that at the time of the showing.

@Mikeslemonade & Sam_Fisher: Did you guys ever play a Dreamcast? It just didn't "feel" anything like an xbox. I don't mean the controller. Just the whole system in general. The way it was marketed, the games, everything.

Those are the same "new" shots we see every time someone posts a story with "new" shots of Killzone. Whatever. They do look amazing. I just hope they can keep up the framerate they had going with the demo level for the whole game.

They're using DivX tech for streaming media through "Home". I suppose a dev could use the same tech in a game if it was necessary...like when Jackie watches tv in "The Darkness". I personally don't expect it to have much impact on games. It's mostly for the media geeks, but that's not to say it won't be awesome.

Looks cool. The article says it's all 2d gameplay as well. There was a lot going on in the background in that shot. I bet this game is going to look way better in action.

@PS3PCFTW: I have a bunch of episodes of Family Guy and the Simpsons copied to my PS3 HD (.mpg format). The PS3 automatically creates a 15 second preview of each file and displays it under the video section so you end up with a maximum of...I think 8 video previews running at the same time, all different. It's kinda cool. My PC would start to choke at about two simultaneous video streams I think.

@CoeusTitan: Really? Well that kind of ruins it for me then. I was all jealous of 360 owners there for a minute. I assumed that DivX support meant you would be able to copy DivX files to the 360 HD. I still want a 360, but that's a huge letdown. Why even bother implementing it? I've been able to stream DivX files from my girlfriends windows based laptop to my PS3 since firmware 1.92.

It looks like nobody actually read the article. Go see what he has to say before you get all wound up guys.

edit: and gals.

If you have a Windows PC you can just setup media player to work as a media server and use the "search for media" servers option on your PS3. It should pick it up for you. Assuming it's on the same network. There are tutorials online. It's probably easy for Mac users too.
I'm running Linux which complicates matters a little. If you have a thumb drive you can convert files to an MPG format and copy them to your PS3 HD. It's annoying, but it'll do until DivX support comes alon...

He meant 740. It's just going to be that good.

How was it turning into a PS3 thread? One guy had mentioned the PS3 when you made your post.

Sucks to be the guy on his 8th 360, though.
