That'll be a nice way to catch up for those of us who haven't been following the series.
Yeah, this sort of thing always worked out so well when Sega and Nintendo tried it in the past.
*sighs*
Edit: Yeah, like the guy above me said...
I think in some extreme cases. overhyping can have a negative effect on review scores. Sadly, I don't think APB was hyped up quite enough to mess with the reviews. Sure, lots of people were excited, but your average Joe on the streets doesn't know about this game yet. It's not the new Halo or GTA.
Nothing against Darkstalkers, but does anyone really think they would hype it up like it's supposed to be better than a new SF4 announcement? I know the series has some hardcore fans, but from a strcitly commercial standpoint, it's got nowhere near the selling power of Street Fighter.
Dude, that was totally sad.
Good idea with the UK account, but can he pay for things on the UK store with a German credit card or PSN points?
Edit: Oh and for what it's worht the game is still very much worth playing without the add-ons. Zombie Island and General KNoxx are way awesome, but it's still great without them.
Cue people whining about Call of Duty in 3...2...1...
Edit: Lol. Too late.
You gotta wonder how they miss something like that in testing.
More than likely they'll switch to a three year dev. cycle instead of two years.
Says they were pulled off a Bond game in the summary. No mention of possible new IPs.
Yeah, I don't think you're remembering the old Sonic games accurately because this looks pretty much exactly the same.
@Too Pawned: Nah. Not if it was a movie tie in. It's not a question of poor devs. They're just given little money and even less time to get these games done. It has to be ready for launch, you know? It's a shame, really.
I gotta agree with this "his recent movies are crap" talk. They've been absolutely terrible. I mean props to the guy for basically creating zombies, but it's time he retired.
I guess we can cut him a little slack these days because he's making movies without much of a budget, but it's pretty hard to forgive nonsense like Diary of the Dead or even Land of the Dead.
"basically unplayable as a single-player game"
Ouch. That sort of kills it for me. I was never a big fan of the original to begin with, but this one did show some promise when I first saw it. Oh well.
Lol. With a name like Atelier Totori, how can this NOT sell millions?
I also don't really see how an all-in-one device like the iPhone can really compete with a device made for games and games alone. A little competition never hurt, so I'm certainly not against the iPhone gaming scene, but I just don't see it being the next DS or anything.
On the other hand, releasing a new handset pretty much every year means they should be able to gain and maintain an edge in the graphics department eventually. That could make a difference.
Not funny.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I respect China for getting their sh*t together, turning around their financial woes and becoming an economic superpower in a really short period of time. Then stories like this come out and you really gotta wonder...
When are these guys going to clean up their act? And if they do, will they be able to maintain the sort of economic growth they've been seeing? It's a sh*t situation for everyone involved.
Oh and uhhh...xbawx suck...
I think some non-gaming stuff would be interesting. We usually get a pretty good idea about people's gaming habits if they stick around the main page or the forums long enough.
How about what they do for a living? Do they keep pets? Pee standing up or sitting down? That sort of stuff.
Like the other day I found out one of our forum guys is a radio host. Thought that was pretty cool.
Used to play this on a Sega Master System 20+ years ago. Good little game.
