Well if it's true, that sucks @ss. Of course if you have a roach problem in your apartment you could just get your neighbor a wii for Christmas and hope that they all migrate next door. Hmmm...
Downloading Burnout right now. I hope it's new Cloverfield trailer and not just the one they played before Beowulf.
Cool games, but I thought The Darkness controlled really loose...in a bad way. It made for some cool looking action scenes, but ultimately frustrated the hell out of me. Jacky just didn't seem to do what I wanted him to do. BTW, it's not because I suck, I never have that problem with other shooters.
Well it looks like some people disagree with both of us. WTF?
I wish I had a DS for this game. Contra: Hard Corps on the Genesis was my favorite. Like I say every time I see a Contra story; where's my frikkin' Gunstar Heroes sequel?
We're not likely to see Half-Life 3 within the 360's lifetime. Valve still has to make Episode 3. Then there will be a long ass delay before it hits PC's. Then we may see a crappy home console port way at the end of the 360/PS3 life cycle. Sort of like Half-Life 2 on xbox.
I certainly hope so. There are obviously cases where a game has had numerous sequels without starting to suck. Metroid comes to mind off the top of my head. It's just that more often than not when a dev forces an unnecessary sequel it sucks. I guess my point was Half-Life 1 & 2 were so well received it could just tarnish the series' good name if the third one sucks. Even if the third one is just average. Anyway, with any luck it will be awesome and all my fears will be allayed.
As much as I love Half-Life I wish they would just let it die gracefully. Great series are always ruined when the developers try to extend them beyond their lifetime. Obviously there's a lot of money to be made off the Half-Life name. I just hope they can come up with a good reason, story wise, why the next game needs to be made.
razy. I thought he looked a lot like Marcus Fenix (sp?), but he definitely looks identical to Dom. Oh well. It's not like it's a huge deal.
Mine usually doesn't update until 6pm or later. It's a pain in the ass the way they update PSN, but I do always look forward to demo Thursdays. It's like we get a weekly event on PSN instead of a slow trickle of new content throughout the week.
@Nostradavis: Ahh, but if it's all in relation to retail speeds, then those "overclocked" BFG video cards aren't really overclocked at all are they? Being as they come overclocked at the retailer.
Not trying to give you a hard time, but I think a processors overclock speed is in relation to the manufacturers maximum recommended clock speed rather than the actual retail clock speed.
Sony wouldn't allow it if there was any chance of PSP's overheating. I think they forced devs to keep it at 222MHz to extend battery life. Now that the slim has extended battery life, this is a great way to extend the systems viability for a few more years. This New God of War is sounding better all the time.
It's so true. It's just not polished like a proper big screen release should be. Xena and Hercules could get away with it because they were made for TV. Movie goers expect some decent production design. I think that's one of the chief problems with most of Boll's films. They just look cheap.
I don't know why you got disagreed NRG. The Unreal games and the Unreal Tournament games are totally different. The first time I saw Unreal Tournament I was shocked at how fast it moved. Unreal was a somewhat slow paced, methodical shooter. More along the lines of something like Half-Life or Halo. Unreal Tournament is just about the fastest most hectic shooter out there.
It's fun playing with someone I the same room as you sometimes. Me and a buddy of mine used to have a hell of a good time playing capture the flag against 6 bots at maximum difficulty in Timesplitters 2. He would defend and I would run. It gets pretty hectic if you can get enough bots in the game.
Call of Duty 4 has split screen on the PS3. I rented it this week and was playing deathmatch with my roommate earlier today. Resistance and Warhawk have split screen too. Resistance actually has a decent co-op mode even. Warhawk allows multiple players on the same TV to go online and compete with others. Those are the only ones I can think of, but I'm sure there are more.
edit: @everyone above me: Yaa, what you guys said.
Of course we care. It's freakin' Kratos. I dropped around $600 on a PS3 because I knew GoW: 3 was coming and I'll drop $200 on PSP for this game. God of War kicks ass. 'Nuff said.
Oh I know there are bucket loads in the works. I just figured modders would need more time to really get anything worthwhile out there. Maybe the process is faster than I thought. I haven't done any modding/level designing since the build engine was popular.
Well that sucks. Especially since rein has been going off about how great the mods will be since the game was announced. Honestly though, there can't be that many decent mods available yet. The PC version just came out. I can wait a few weeks.
I didn't really "get" this game until I saw a brief gameplay demo video. Now I'm very excited about it. It really looks like nothing I've ever seen before from a gameplay perspective.
