It will be like Skyrim in that you get a trophy for level 50 but you'll probably be around level 70 when it's all said and done. I approve.
Great news. Loved the more constant sense of progression in Skyrim. Can't wait to try out the vastly improved shooting mechanics too.

Despite some mixed reviews, I think this will be the biggest system seller the x1 has in its lifetime. Until the inevitable Halo 6 at least. I don't see Gears moving nearly as many...especially with the new direction that franchise is going in.
What was the play time?
Is being a gamer even a prerequisite to being a gaming journalist? lol. It's not like sports where you can suck, but still know what you're talking about.
Kind of have to wait to see how Battlefront does first. It could still bomb critically or have network issues. Same with Halo actually. Without knowing all of this you could decide based on which universe you prefer, but from the perspective of a core gamer...that would be pretty silly.

On meta ODST is the worst. I would probably agree with you though. Reach had a few days of fun, but the maps and campaign did little for me. Lots of balancing issues as well when it came to the abilities.
I'd like to see more on Dreams, SSM, and Fat Princess Adventures. Oh and news/teases involving the firmware would be welcome although probably highly unlikely.
It's probably all they can get out as of right now. Can't blame them for trying to get some kind of review out to the public.
It's always the best Halo or MGS yet and then they give it a 9. Seems a little contradictory to me. A new game in one of the best franchises in gaming as a whole supposedly usurps its predecessors and fails to receive a perfect score? Doesn't add up at all.
They go down in score 90% of the time. Usually because the smaller publications get it later and want their review to stand out/can be huge cynics but this isn't always the case.
Probably just means panned by Halo standards. I think it's scored a lower average than every numbered Halo? They used to always sit around the 95 area with the other masterclass games. It's probably still a good game, but it's clear that 343 isn't the same as Bungie in its prime. Destiny also had many flaws as well, so I'm not going to hype up one team being superior.
I'd like some more graphically impressive games. Only a few have blown me away this gen so far (mostly exclusives). Thank god U4 is almost here.

People might just be disagreeing because many games have had their first scores be 10s and countless games that aren't masterpieces have received 9s. This game probably will be a masterpiece in some ways but the logic used to prove that was pretty weak.
Hoping the camping in this iteration is intents.
Not sure how the gameplay comes into it but this new platform looks capable of making and playing games like Flower and Journey. Incredible.
Kind of reminded me of Farcry meets a Bethesda game when they showed off the HUD. Not sure how the RPG elements will pan out, but the action elements look to be top notch between the various weapons and gadgets, the destructible environments, and the sheer scope of the battles. Dat trip wire gun.
