I agree although it's an amazing game in its own right. Probably the worst game by MGS standards though. Simply because it's so different and betrays the series in a lot of ways. Not necessarily because it's horrible or anything.
I think Konami would be able to prevent such additions if they really didn't want them. It's not like they never see or play the game before it releases.
So many Far Cry vibes. That and taking away the linearity of MGS really hurts the viability of tranquing enemies. They tend to get up and cause mayhem before you even get through the twenty other guys.

The only thing I can think of is that the analogy is incorrect because many men would love to be objectified by women whereas many women find it demeaning to be objectified themselves. The cost is pretty negligible. Especially if you're not one of those people who leave your system on for hours out of sheer ignorance.

I think the negativity could stem from the lack of effort on the developer's part. Some trophies are truly tedious and detract from an otherwise great game if you feel like going for the platinum. Other trophies simply require skill or force you to approach the game from a different angle. I like seeing these more innovative trophies rather than the generic ones that emphasize repetition and collectibles (e.g. 10000 kills in Resistance 2 competitive MP or flags and stuff in AC = garbage t...

Took me less than 30. It was a pretty short game actually and had less side stuff then say IX.
Pretty much all of the stories before 6 were super primitive though. IV was decent but the MOON stuff was stupid.
1,4, and 11 are great too despite some flaws. I agree with you though that 6 through 10 is the peak of the franchise.

It's supplementary DLC that likely has little to do with the main story outside of vague backstory. Like a prologue probably. These don't usually fit well into the core game flow-wise.
