I would have to say that QTE's are often annoying filler but where specific actions are concerned that aren't in the game's regular control repertoire, they can be handy. I think GoW is one of the few franchises that does QTE's justice. Otherwise, unexpected and random actions such as gouging out eyes and ripping off limbs wouldn't work as well.

The mention about the last 4 hours of The Last of Us being epic was exciting. They draw the comparison with the last scenes of U3 though when U2 almost followed the exact same structure in terms of pacing and story. I think Uncharted 2 is superior just because of what it did compared to the original Uncharted whereas U3 just polished up what was present in U2. All great games though for sure.

Somewhat depressing since I wanted to pick up the WKC games at some point and now I'm a bit less motivated. The worst was when they shut down the servers for the PS2 Monster Hunter. Since then I've been trying to get the same experience on PSP, but capcom keeps only giving NA ad-hoc and keeps making games for Wii or DS. Damn I want to hunt some monsters. Hopefully deep down ends up being something in the same vein.
I'm hoping as well. If this game turns out nicely or even takes a decent portion of the MMO market like XI and if Versus resurfaces at E3, FF might be somewhat out of its slump. I read that review as well. It's a very long game (3 times longer than what you could expect from Gears and 5 times longer than many CODs) with multiple difficulties, a NG+ option, multiple routes/strategies/AI possibilities, and then there's the multiplayer. They also gave graphics a 9.5 which surprised me. I don't mean to nitpick but very few console games hold a candle to it graphically and I think none might surpass it.

I wonder if those 15 exclusives include smaller downloadable games as well. PS4 is already looking to be cleaning up with mmos and indie games. 15 exclusives at launch may very well be possible...or at least 15 games that can either be found on ps4 or ps4/pc (SOE helps in this regard).
FFXIV is probably my most anticipated game right now since XI stole years of my life, but I am somewhat interested to see what they're doing with EQN.
Very interested in what MM are aiming for with ps4. SE might actually be a big deal this year since Nomura stated that they would be revealing details about Versus and explain why it was delayed for so long (my bet is on a shift to ps4 development). Can't wait for that overworld.
Would not complain if it was a Vita title either. I plan on getting one soon and there are plenty of games when you include psone and psp, but it would be nice to see a few more killer apps on it.
Edit: Nice disagree for being open minded lol. Was the universal cross-play confirmed? I thought it was a just a goal. If that's true I will be pretty stoked. We also have yet to see the quality of it (hopefully better than what I experienced on my psp).
You can tell they're really trying to make a point about playstation longevity with Ascension, Beyond, TLoU, GT6, Ni No Kuni, etc. It's really impressive actually. I just hope all of these developers will be ready to launch games for the PS4 with little delay. It sounds like ND, Quantic, and Santa Monica are already getting into it so that's good news. Also very interested in the status of Versus XIII on ps4 and if XIV will be good/make the ps4 leap.
Getting a new gaming laptop soon. Does anyone know when this line launches? That way I can buy the previous generation for cheaper probably lol.
