Well my plan has always been to buy physical copies of all of the large, retail games and download the digital only, free-to-play and smaller indie titles from PSN. I have a 20mbs connection now and I have enjoyed up to 50mbps in the near past and downloading large files has always been a chore from PSN.
Also, let's not forget that 50 gigs is 10% of the default storage and KZSF is only a first gen launch title. I doubt most games will push that 50 gig envelope but I see...
It is shaping up to be an epic launch.
Physical copy for me. I wonder if they chose not to compress anything at all and that is why it is so big. This is going to be a very beautiful game with hi res textures and hi bitrate audio.
Gorgeous. Can't wait
Cool tech...but spooky. I just don't see the necessity at this point but MSFT has 10 yrs or more to utilize these features. This might appear innocuous at first but have we forgotten about Skynet and those horrific Terminator wars! This is how it all starts! KINECT WILL ALWAYS BE WATCHING!
I bought this exact projector back in 2011 for about $1200 from Amazon. I married it to a 120" screen and I can say that the experience is like nothing else. I don't go to the movies unless someone drags me there...kicking and screaming none the less. Gaming is a pure joy. If you ever get the chance play Battlefield or TLOU on a projector. You will never want to go back.
Move along...nothing to see here. This guy gave us nothing new. He just spouted some canned PR crap. He could have at least given us a tidbit or two. This game is still at the top of my list for most anticipated next gen title. Right now the wait is unbearable.
Sony looks more indie friendly as of right now. The article does bring up legitimate concerns regarding quality controls and discoverability. I think we should give Sony the benefit of the doubt that there are robust QC and approval measures in place.
Simple fix. GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart et al should make it policy to train point of sale employees to inform all ADULT customers, kids present or not, of the mature rating and everything that it entails. It is as simple as " THIS GAME IS INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY! PLEASE READ THE PACKAGING FOR FURTHER DETAILS". Maybe, even a prerecorded PSA that automatically plays every time an M rated game is sold. This eliminates the inconsistent human element. For online purchas...
This is a great indicator that consoles are more than relevant in the age of mobile. These kinds of record busting numbers suggest that people still want that AAA experience that cannot be reproduced on phones and tablets. Next gen may be the most successful generation that sees an expansion of the console market and synergies between consoles and mobile.
I've bought the game but I haven't experienced the portion that has been causing all of the controversy. I will concede that some of the subject matter may be a bit gratuitous but I will also acknowledge that adults have a right to consume whatever they like. Minors should not have access to games like this but that is obviously not the case. Even though I will play this game from beginning to end by doing so I am in no way advocating violence against animals or women.
This is a bit silly and unnecessary at this point. I am seeing a lot of writing across the Internet rehash the same news that is either weeks or months old. The writer has an obvious bias and adds absolutely nothing new to the conversation. These opinion pieces are becoming annoying and are crowding the space where informative news should be. I would love the day when I can traverse the internet without someone telling me why A is better than B.
EA has a bunch of great franchises. I hope they can change public perception of their company. This new guy has a lot to do but at least he is not dealing with a turn around situation. EA is financially solvent.
This trailer, though preposterous in some areas (dog attacking hovering helicopter pilot) has actually caught my attention. Up until this point I was uninterested in this game. The last COD I've bought was the first Black Ops. I have bought every other iteration prior. I am now more optimistic about the plot and SP since that is what interests me the most. I really hope that for all of the ridiculousness the story is indeed plausible and engrossing. It may be a day 2 purchase if the r...
What the author fails to realize is that ND is at a staff size that can accommodate new IPs and sequels alike. I don't believe they have to sacrifice a key franchise such as Uncharted for new IPs down the line. ND has become the crown jewel of Sony's internal studios. Their budgets are more than adequate for multiple projects.
What is this? LOU pt 2? I hope that whatever he's doing is wholly unique and original. I wonder if he posted this piece of concept art with the blatant intent to draw comparisons to TLOU and generate buzz?
Uh duh. Of course the PC version on ultra settings will be better than anything consoles can do. Before everyone starts burning Dice in effigy we should realize that we will get 60 F/S and 64 player matches...a first in console history for the franchise. The thing is I played BF3 on consoles and I was thoroughly entertained and impressed by the presentation. If BF4 is better than that and runs at a smoother, faster frame rate then bring it on.
And there in lies the issue. Only Nintendo's first party software does exceedingly well on their platform. Can't you see the problem with that? Devs cannot support a platform that will generate losses or break even at best.
Every time I present my argument someone jumps at the opportunity to exalt Mario Kart. I guess you should be proud, somehow, but it is a statistic that is lost on me and apparently all of the rest of those 30 million Mario Karters...and further...
Short answer is yes. Long answer is yesssssssssss. Why even write a silly article like this. There are currently no games on the WU that are of interest to the larger consensus. Mario this and Donkey Kong that are not compelling purchases for anyone who is older than 10 or is not a rabid Nintendo fan. WU needs more 3rd party support and access to the games we will see on PS360. Luckily we have Bayonetta, COD and Wonderful 101 coming soon but probably Mario, Luigi, Zelda wash, rinse, rep...
The long and short of it...yes. I would argue that their incompetence runs a little deeper than development. Nintendo's incompetence permeates the entire company.
