I enjoyed them both immensely. TLOU legitimizes the necessity for strong narrative in games. It is probably the best post apocalyptic story to be told in gaming. It was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Unexpected and irreverent to what we should expect at the end of a console cycle.
GTA is a known quantity but that doesn't mean it was any less innovative. It is out right fun and mechanically sound to boot. I enjoyed that game for more than a month alone i...
A lot of games. There will definitely be a few titles that miss their release dates and possibly even slip into 2015. Must haves for me are Division, Witcher, Dying Light, The Order and Infamous. The thing is there are 70 more titles that haven't even been announced as of yet.
Well deserved. TLOU shares the top spot with GTA5 for me. It could have gone either way and I would have no issue.
Good summarization of the strengths and weaknesses of both consoles. These things will only get better as 2014 progresses.
Great news for any true fan of the Marvel universe. I can't say that I have ever bought an Activision developed, Marvel licensed game. I cannot think of a single title that hasn't epitomized mediocrity and bastardization. Marvel does itself justice by not re-entering any contractual agreements with a company that has never delivered upon the level of quality due and has mismanaged the brand/image of almost every popular and relevant Marvel property within the medium ...
A next gen port would definitely benefit those who missed it on PS3. I personally would rather see those resources go into even more new IPs or new stories to be told in the world of TLOU. I am even more interested to see if ND can innovate within the Uncharted universe. I really do not want to see an iteration of the exact same mechanics we have seen through U3.
I've played TLOU to completion but I've only seen DR3 over the Internet. As beautiful as TLOU may be it cannot achieve the graphical fidelity nor on screen object count DR3 boasts. This is not a fair comparison for either console because neither renders the same scenes or similar scenes at any given time. DR3 has way more going on on screen than TLOU. I've always found comparisons between the same game on respective hardware or comparisons between games with very similar scene...
The hell? There is a fine line between competitive aggression and mental instability. In professional arenas such as the NBA or NFL such behavior would be met with a monetary penalty or suspension. Never acceptable
This is great news. I don't think they would cancel development entirely for a more established install base to favor one that is new and burgeoning. I bet we will see a cross generational launch with patched support for the PS Move on the PS4.
I believe the only thing holding the X1 back is price. Both consoles are somewhat unfinished and do not fully represent what either will be capable of even a year from now. I currently own a PS4 but I will be buying the X1 once the price has fallen in line with the competition.
Also, please realize that these are launch numbers and are not fully indicative of future performance.
There is only one way Lee can appear in the game. Those who played to the end know what I'm talking about. Let's just say he wouldn't be "the life of the party". It would be a very effective and emotional twist if it happened.
I am thankful that I am alive and not in pain. I am thankful that I can spend these days with family. I am thankful for my PSVita, PS4, PS3... I am thankful for copious amounts of food and I pray that others are as fortunate as I am. Have a beautiful THXGVNG!
Battlefield, NBA2K14, killzone, COD, Resogun, Blacklight and Contrast. This was a fun launch and a good, not great, collection of games. PS4 does what it is supposed do do very well...play games. I must say that resolutions greater than 720p are a big thing. I really do not want to go back. Battlefield really blew me away graphically followed closely by NBA2K14. The controller is night and day to the DS3.
Sony didn't fu!k up this time. I can say that this may be ...
No. That's the only way i'd ever get any...I jest. I am not an achievements junkie but I do like to see my level status improve. I have a lot of games but no interest I chasing down every achievement or trophy. I say let them stand.
Just goes to show how beautiful this game was in the first place. I don't know if they made any improvements to the PS4 version but from my seat they are identical.
COOL! Thank you both @ despair & nomercy. Didn't know that was an option. I will definitely download before hand.
I hope the PS4 update goes smoothly. The only good thing is it is not necessary to play games out of the box. If the servers are taxed, play a game while it downloads in the background.
I was going to wait but the allure of Killzone and Battlefield ultimately wore away at my resolve. The article has some merit but the reality is that all new tech introductions need early adopters. I also find CNET to be a bit hypocritical. They never have issues pushing the early adopter concept for Apple products or cell phones. Why sound the call to exercise restraint now?
The article is very simplistic and sheds no compelling arguments for the well informed. Those ...
This only shows that COD is wearing it's welcome. Underwhelming on current and next gen. They really need to start from scratch.
Can't wait. This is the game that will make me buy the X1. Loved Halo 4.
