Good for her. Great for EA. Maybe visceral could use her talents down the road to pen a proper narrative for a new Dead Space.
I agree with the assessment. I just don't see how mobile gaming serves as the most effective differentiator/Trojan horse into this space. Maybe I am viewing this from the perspective of a gaming enthusiast that sees no value in mobile gaming outside of mobile. Casuals are most likely of a different mindset.
Again, for the most part we are in agreement. I just don't believe making a box that does the same thing as every other STB, with the exception of lite gamin...
This is definitely not for me. I do not want to play android games on a large screen. I am not going to cry doom and gloom just yet but once you remove mobility from a platform born out of that necessity everything else becomes redundant and underpowered regarding the hardware in most modern households. Most will not embrace mobile games on an immobile device. Ouya is all the evidence we need to illustrate that point.
On the surface this looks like a half baked attempt to...
Iwata was indeed at the helm during NIntendo's most successful hardware launches. He is also responsible for the stockpile of cash they currently have in reserve. Sadly, successes of the past do not excuse poor performance today. Meritorious awards are useless in the ever changing field of business. The fact that he had oversight during those prosperous periods in time shows that at one point he was very effective and actually did what he was tasked to do...increase returns to investo...
I agree with what you said. I wish I could give you 2 agrees.
Good. I like this guy. I really hope he will expand the X1 exclusive library and do a better job than last generation. He also appears to posess more humility than Peter Moore or Mattrick ever had.
What the hell??! Wait...wait...APRIL FOOLS. Right?
I will have to disagree with the power argument. If that was true we would see the sale of PCs with GTX 780tis and AMD R9 290Xs in dual or quad configurations outpace console sales in the effort to attain the "best graphical experience" right now in gaming. We all know that is not the case. The reality regarding the mass market is that the majority is either unwilling or unable or both to attain the best experience and therefore must settle for good enough. Yeah PC will always ...
I think my comment may have been a bit too dramatic and not very clear. I am not decrying VR or its possibilities as a new interactive medium. I am responding to the Oculus CEO's opinions regarding the viability of VR on consoles. All I am saying is that it will be far more affordable to buy a PS4 and VR display than a gaming centric PC (capable of the fidelity and power he suggests is necessary) and the Oculus Rift. He implies that the fixed architecture of the consoles render them u...

Hogwash. Ever advancing VR technology will never compel millions to purchase rigs capable of the compute he suggests is necessary to make VR any more palpable. Mobile gaming has taught us that the mass market will sacrifice graphical fidelity for ease of utility and portability. The console vs PC argument teaches us that the mass market will sacrifice graphical fidelity for ease of use and affordability. Yes, PC will be "the place" to experience VR in its true splendor but most ...
Very sexy. The lighting engine is beautiful.
I will name my next kid N4G or N4Gia if that is what it takes to win. I am not kidding.
A bit harsh. It is too early to say which way the wind will blow for either console. Will the PS4 maintain it's lead? Will the X1 lag even further? Will a kinect-less sku be introduced to eliminate the pricing disparity? We have months to years before any or all of these questions are answered.
Well written. I appreciate indie and artsy but the bombast and spectacle of a AAA game is where I would rather rest my preference.
I didn't see this coming. At least there is the possibility that the Bioshock universe will continue even if by creators other than Irrational. This IP was one of a handful of properties that truly elevated narrative in games. I really hope Levine and crew continue to make games for consoles. I am always afraid when I hear buzzwords like refocus, small and highly re-playable. Those most always indicate interest in mobile, PC or some form of free to play.
The only problem with this game is the lack of a single player campaign. I am not the biggest proponent of competitive multiplayer in general.
The differences boil down to Iwata's refusal to change and adapt. He insists on doing the same thing in the face of poor results and imminent failure. A lot of what he has detailed for the future of the business suggests that he plans to keep the core operations exactly the same as it is now. That is a clear sign of ineptitude and lack of vision. Hirai has changed a lot of things and has listened to investors and consumers in an effort to bring Sony back into the black. His job is a ...
All I've ever owned were Vaios. Sad day.
I actually like BF4 multiplayer. It was a steaming pile in the beginning but it plays mostly without incident today. With that being said I have always found the exorbitant cost of the DLC to be a bit off putting. $50 for this content is too high in my opinion. I don't see the value but that doesn't mean others don't.
