I agree. I love Destiny's mechanics but the content is lacking. I no longer play for fun. I play for 2 hours every day only because that is usually how long it takes to complete bounties and daily/weekly missions. I've seen it all already. The DLC feels as if it will be more of the same but in less quantity. No real value. I think I will skip the individual releases for the DLC and wait for the ultimate/game of the year edition. The beta will be great but I don't personally see it as a compelling enough reason to purchase the X1 this holiday. I have a small backlog on my PS4 and a very large backlog on my PS3 and 360. I have enough to keep me busy until summer 2015.

The X1 ecosystem is getting better every month and now the price also reflects the ever improving value.

Wow! That is really good value. I can't wait until holiday 2015 when they will inevitably announce the Halo 5 bundle with similar or better cost savings. That's when I'll be buying X1.

Great article. I was a multi-console owner last gen and I loved my x360. Up until the tail end of the generation it was my preferred console of choice for multiplatform games. I understand why they are doing it. I make note of the "why" a couple of replies up. They are in a unfortunate and precarious position financially and may not be able to take on much risk in the short term. I still abhor the abuse and exploitation of the IP.

I will always argue that innovation is most important. There should be limits. No remasters of remakes. Limit the consecutive release schedule to a trilogy (let the IP lie dormant for a couple of years)....

This is getting ridiculous. The industry has fallen into a troubling rut. Re-iterations are replacing innovation and originality. Are we to be satisfied with remakes, remasters and sequels? Is that it? I really hope consumers see this for what it is and send the appropriate message to publishers.

If I only had access to ps4 the only AAA X1 games that would pique my interest would be Gears and Halo 5. From the article I only have interest in Ori and Cuphead. Those 2 indie games look very promising.
