Nintendo just sold 300,000 Wii's last week even though the Wii U just came out.

The price is low and there are a lot of titles to choose from for new Wii owners. It actually makes more sense to buy systems near the end of their life-cycle because that is when you usually get the best hardware (system f...
That's right. It's not about the most powerful.
Their list is;
1) Convince Third Party Developers To Publish For Wii U
2) Even More First Party Titles
3) Continue To Build And Improve The Nintendo Network
4) No More “Shovelware”
5) Keep Innovating
#1 will be hard to do since it's about penetrating the market. If the Wii U doesn't have the userbase they will b...
It will only give them a run for the money if they get software support. Which means software consumers are interested in.
The new Mario is more than a simple upgrade into HD. It also enables the Gamepad to be used in a unique way that wasn't possible on the Wii.
Nintendo needs to take charge and convince consumers why the Wii U is unique so of course they will make software to propel the new hardware. That is always the job of 1st party software. Hopefully 3rd party does the same thing and doesn't just add gimmicky gameplay like they did with the original Wii to jump on the motion contro...
I can't wait for the list for 2014 titles that can save Vita. These topics don't really do anything aside from clash with those who enjoy Vita and those who apparently have no faith in the device.
Live is still the easiest and most streamlined service of the bunch. How the games connect with one another, how gamers keep connected no matter what game is being played, and all supported by voice chat. Is that enough to warrant a fee? That depends on how much you value the small differences between Live and something like Playstation Network and Steam.
I find there is far more value from Playstation Plus. I see the value over what else is offered. I don't see a lot of ...
It' a global market now and Sony needs to trim its products back. Apple used to be at the brink of bankruptcy until Steve Jobs came in and refocused the company.
There is so much management at Sony and old-school people that refuse to change. On top of that divisions like the television market has become cut-throat. Sony used to be the pinnacle of TV's and could charge a premium. Now Sony simply cannot compete in that area like they used to. They also owned the portab...
When the new Zelda game comes out that will be an indication to just how powerful the Wii U really is. It will be in-house and will also have had more time with the hardware. Until then I will reserve my judgement since launch games don't necessarily exhibit a systems true potential.
It's far from future proof. Just because bluray holds lots of storage space doesn't mean the systems limited amount of RAM and aging GPU is future proof. I do disagree that the PS3 is aging badly though. It's still pumping out great games and future titles like The Last Of Us show great promise and one that still holds its own visually to modern PC's.
It doesn't make much sense other than Vita obviously has a much more limited game selection when compared to the PS3. The author is suggesting AC3 is more of a system seller for Vita than it is on the PS3 (or thinks it should have been). Not sure if I would agree unless marketing was more so for the Vita version.
What we need to take into context is not all great products have great success. For whatever reason Vita is failing to capture a wide audience. I personally thin...
@ SilentNegotiator
So tell us, how large are the save files?
Nintendo is trying to keep the cost down. They don't want to release a $500 or $600 game console. We see time and again storage issues. From the Xbox 360 and not all of them having hard drives, to paying $100 for minimal upgrades in the iPhone and iPad, the Playstation Vita, Even the PS3 and it's original 20GB model was a pain considering how many games require a partial install.

Pretty much. Let the game do the talking. He really needs to just shut up because most people have tuned him out by now. How about an element of surprise with a good game out of nowhere, that's the best way to get his credibility back.
This is the list;
1) It is My Money, It is my Game!
2) These Bugs are Bugging Me
3) But I Want It Now!!!!!
4) $5 for Extra Content = Evil Capitalist Pigs
5) This Game Sucks!
Now for my analysis of each
1. We are the fans, so of course there will be a backlash if we don't like how games turn out. Especially franchises and sequels. We have invested in the games and if they all of the sudden take a strange direction...
The PC is still alive and well for gaming and I love the flexibility of it.
Excellent series and I can't wait to play this episode.
Looks pretty fantastic to me.
11. How about game manuals with more pages than a restaurant menu, if we even get one at all.
12. How about gamers not being the guinea pigs for test driving games because low and behold, they can patch it!
13. How about not forcing us to put in a 20 digit code while using a controller to access certain portions of the game. The used market is not the enemy.
I think I'll stop at lucky 13.
The future we deserve?
1. How about a system that comes prepackaged with a game and all necessary cables?
2. How about a system that comes with free online, along with free cloud access?
3. How about games that don't already have DLC announced before it's even out?
4. How about games that don't take forever to load and don't require mandatory installs before even being able to play?
5. How abo...
@kupomogli
What exactly does that have do with anything? Are you suggesting Jack Tretton did not make those comments? If you took the time to actually read the link I posted you would see for yourself that they showed quotes from a CNN interview.

I hope to see Valve at E3 next year and have them unveil their new hardware. That would be a much welcomed addition to the current competition.
