Most people should ignore all the haters period, not just those who like Call of Duty games.

This is why the industry needs to offer differences and show the systems strength. Otherwise why bother having multiple systems if all they do is play the same?

Sounds like fun. I have LBP2 on the PS3 and really enjoy it.

This article is premature at best. The only reason I can think of for it to be a disappointment is because of all the hype and that the bar is set too high. That happens with a lot of games. Still, I am very excited to see how this game turns out and everything I have seen looks excellent so far.

Well with all the disagrees its become obvious some don't even want to hear constructive criticism. If that's the case then maybe those folks should stop going into such topics.

I personally think it's an identity crisis Vita is going through. With all the high-tech gadgets out there now Vita is struggling to capture a wide audience. Its success so far mirrors PS3 owners but for Vita to become successful they need to tap into non-PS3 owners as well.

Perhaps you should 'read' their reasons and not just focus on the score. Below is this reviewers reasons.

"Cons: Gameplay, Controls, Visuals, Creation tools are highly inaccessible, Story mode is terrible"

By the way, it's not that I agree with them but it is up to those who disagree to counter-argument and not just question why it got a low score.

@Aghashie

I have a PS3. It's a slim model that came with Infamous 2. Great game by the way and I have to play it again with the Playstation Move. I also used to own MGS4. That too was a good game but I traded it. Nobody can answer one question though, why would it matter to anyone if MGS4 came to the Xbox 360 now? The more access the more people can play it.

@Kevin Butler

Why would anyone ask or expect Halo to come to the PS3? It's in...

Because it's the latest system and these issues seem to be growing.

Call of Duty comes out on Vita and those who constantly promote the device are quick to say give it a chance and that the scores should be higher, yet are very quick to shoot down the games on the console and PC. Funny how the media gets bashed for giving the PC and console games high scores all the time, even funnier is how millions upon millions keep buying it while people here say don't waste your money. Yet on N4G we are supposed to believe members here who are probably way more biase...

That's likely true. Ever notice how the most popular topics either share a negative tone (Vita is doomed or the Wii U and its problems type of stuff) or are ones that highlight the console wars?

It's pretty sad people get so wrapped up over such petty things.

This is positive news and shows there is still lots of interest in console gaming. I just hope the Wii U isn't plagued with a bunch of garbage games like the Wii was.

A failure? Please explain, I'm elated.

".....Origin HAS exclusives and so does Steam. In fact, Origin's exclusives are the only reason any level-headed person has ever bothered with Origin ever. "

You're right, EA is using titles like Battlefield 3 to add leverage, just like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo do. That's what 1st party titles are supposed to do, showcase ...

"But without exclusives there's no reason to buy one console over the other... "

Sure there is. It's why people buy an Android over an iPhone or vice-versa. It's why people play games on Steam rather than Origin. They should not use 3rd party games as hostage to convince gamers to support the hardware. If a game can only currently be done on that hardware like we saw early on with the Wii and its motion controls that's fine. Eventually some of those ...

PSP Wiki:
"On October 17, 2004, Sony announced that the PSP would launch in Japan on December 12, 2004, at a price of ¥19,800 (about US$181 in 2004) for the base model and ¥24,800 (about US$226 in 2004) for the Value System.[28] The console's launch was a success with over 200,000 units sold the first day.[29] Different color variations were also sold in bundle packs, which cost more than usual, around $200. Sony announced on Februa...

Point 1,
Sure some FPS have done poorly on consoles but others have already proven to work quite well dating all the way back to Goldeneye. Now consoles can compete with PC's on another level, online multiplayer. What you are suggesting is no FPS 'yet' has been done well on any handheld device, including the Vita.

Point 2,
Difference is Sony has marketed Vita as a high end portable device. They even have games that cross play with one another. Tro...

So basically what you're saying is even though people say Vita is for serious gamers, unlike tablets, it still can't do shooters very well?

This is the pickle Sony is in with the Vita. It's marketed as a high end portable gaming device. Yet many feel it still can't compete well with current consoles that sell for less. On top of that we have games like this that waters down the most popular franchise. By the way, I blame Activision on this, not Sony. It appear...

Well since this topic is talking about how some actually enjoy playing Black Ops II ( or any Call of Duty games for that matter), it is our duty to level the playing field and whine about how all the games are the same and rush out to MetaCritic and give the game a 0 (or if we are feeling extremely generous that day a 1) without even playing it and troll every article on N4G about the series even in topics that don't mention the franchise. Am I cool or what?

This is impossible when we were told it doesn't make sense to offer new IP's this late in the generation of consoles. How can that be?

Impossible I tell ya!

Both Sony and Microsoft are milking this generation for all its worth. Microsoft is to counter their huge investment with the original Xbox by making as much profit from the Xbox 360 as possible. Now 7 years after the Xbox 360 came out for $299 & $399 the systems are retailed for about $199 & $249. They are still rather high in price for being out for 7 years. It will be at least 8 years before a new Xbox. That's quite the difference from the original Xbox they dropped like a ston...
