They really should do better testing. If Kinect isn't precise enough or engaging enough then scrap it. Seems to me Kinect is unable to replicate body movements accurately enough yet.
Using the body to mimic controls is a great idea in theory but it needs to be able to have virtually no lag to do it justice. There also needs to be more than just one camera to offer true 3D rendering of what the body is actually doing.
ChunkyLover53, then perhaps 343i isn't the best example of new people carrying on the torch since all they will be doing is Halo. Bioware is known for many franchises, not just Mass Effect. I do hope Bungie well in the future as they probably wanted to move forward and do something else besides Halo.
I think when Bioware was bought by EA it was downhill from there and now nobody is left from the old team. I also expect some people from 343i to jump ship in the future once...
That's true. Gamers need to take the time knowing the maps and not just constantly re-spawning to be easy targets. The Call of Duty games seem to target those who like fast action and if you are a good sniper you can rack up the kills pretty quickly.
However, you know there is a flaw in the game if too many people decide to be snipers and camp.
EA has a history of running franchises into the ground by buying out the developers and changing their identity. Just look at what has happened to Command & Conquer for example. Bioware will never be like the old Bioware because EA restructured them with Mythic Entertainment. Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk were the last two remaining co-founders at Bioware.
This whole thing reminds me of what has happened to Rare and when Microsoft bought them. The main people left and only ...
Here is the list in case people don't want to flip through 10 pages to see what they are;
1. Ni No Kuni
2. God of War: Ascension
3. The Last of Us
4. The Last Guardian
5. Beyond: Two Souls
6. Uncharted 4
7. The Witch and the Hundred Knights
8. Tales of Xillia
9. Until Dawn
10. Agent
Some of these games are unlikely to come out in 2013 but Ni No Kuni, The Last Of Us and Beyond: Two Sou...
"It still boggles my mind how Microsoft basically got off scott-free"
Not sure how they got off scott-free when it cost them more than 1 billion dollars to deal with the RROD situation.

I know one thing is for sure, if I buy the next Xbox that's coming out it won't b...
Not sure how I missed the point when a company like Sony also didn't start out with gaming under their portfolio. However they did manage to run the Playstation brand quite well early on.
I feel there is a disconnect between those who run the Xbox division and the consumers, and that could be allocated to what this article is suggesting. If we agree to disagree that's fine but I don't feel I missed the point at all. If you get involved with something you should ha...
This is why many are pleased with what Steam has done, is doing, and will be doing in the future. You can tell it's not run by a bunch of managers with little or no experience.
When you have a company as large as Microsoft, the innovation, the hunger, the eagerness to prove themselves gets lost along the way. Plus the Xbox brand was created with more than just gaming. That division is there to work within all of Microsoft's vested interests.
He probably had some early tests and realized Kinect didn't fit well with the franchise. Thankfully at the time he worked for Epic and not Microsoft.
Does Veronica Belmont count? I swear each episode of Qore I watch she's totally looking right at me, wanting me. Even when I sit down in another chair her eyes keep following me. It's weird.
I'm hoping for a Resident Evil Karting game myself, where we can shoot dirty syringes to infect the other racers.
Skyrim is a perfect example that a single player market is not only still alive but one that can still be successful at. The new Bioshock coming next year looks amazing and it's the single player portion I'm most eager to play. I don't even know if it will have some form of multiplayer. The Last Of Us is another game I'm highly anticipating and wanting to play alone.
There is lots of pressure to include some form of online into games but we will continue to ha...
I have a 250gb original slim model. Lots of room. Some PC games are well over 10gb, not a big deal any longer. Hard drive prices are starting to come down again.
Finally! All those Live fees are being put to good use because now I can dust off my Kinect and get naked.
LightofDarkness is right, the penalty should fit the crime. However it is doubtful little Billy will get prison time for downloading one game. It is probably a scale they can use so if little Billy opens up a shop on the street and sells copies then he could go to prison.
This is a scare tactic by having big fines and the threat of jail time to discourage people from pirating. If they officially announced you will only get a slap on the wrist for one game then most people wou...
I wouldn't really say he's a poor doer. A lot of it has to be taken into context. We see day after day all these quotes and partial interviews and get tidbits of information. That's how things are now, read the highlights and skim through articles.
First and foremost he still has passion for gaming, that's key. I do think there's a lot of politics involved, deadlines to meet, budgets to adhere by and persuasion from people above. Now that Peter has decided...
A lot of people grew up playing video games, so it only makes sense to have games aimed at a more mature audience. Rape is not something a lot of us even like talking about but it is unfortunately something that happens. If Crystal Dynamics can do it in a sensitive manner and use it in the context of the Lara Croft character then by all means they should envision the game they set out to make.
Sometimes violence in gaming can lead it to being desensitized, I don't think w...
I really don't get this package and what purpose it serves other than trying to get a quick sale before Christmas. Why not just wait for a real collector's package with all the DLC and make it so that the PS3 is also simultaneous with the others?
They release the first two on the PC and Xbox 360 first and then Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 at a later date. Which is understandable since there was an exclusive agreement at the time and EA didn't own Bioware yet. Then Mas...
I'm really starting to get disgusted with the way headlines are generated all for the sake of getting hits. If you watch the full interview, the host Geoff Keighley asks the other 3 guests any game they were disappointed in. Tim Schafer has the most difficult time likely because it's a loaded question and he's just a nice guy. Cliffy wastes no time and mentions more than 1 game. One of them being Uncharted 3 which of course will generate the most attention.
Now to...
Things are different now, we live in a global market. Region locking just creates barriers that simply don't have to be there. Consumers are well aware that if they buy games from Japan for example that there could be language issues, but that's the price you pay for importing.
