There are rumors Destiny will be timed exclusive from a deal with Microsoft.
DemonWare was used on the PS3 for Call of Duty

Microsoft usually handles the servers for 3rd party publishers. Electronic Arts are one of the few exceptions and would not support Xbox Live unless they could control their own servers.
My picks from the original list would be
RPG - Guild Wars 2
Horror - Walking Dead Series
Racing - Forza Horizon
Sports - NHL13
Download - Walking Dead Series (Why isn't Journey on this list?)
Fighting - UFC 3
Shooter - Borderlands 2 (Haven't played Halo 4 or Black Ops II yet)
Action/Adventure - Dishonored
3DS - ? Don't own one. <...
Hopefully every Xbox next generation comes with a hard drive as standard like the original Xbox. We don't need compromises made so that every gamer can play certain games. That's kind of the key component to consoles, that the games should work out of the box for everyone.
Here are some of the notable titles for 2012 that are either big budgeted games, scored well, or hidden gems.
Halo 4
Dishonored
The Walking Dead series
Need For Speed Most Wanted
Borderlands 2
Forza Horizon
Journey
XCOM Enemy Unknown
Resident Evil 6
Sleeping Dogs
Darksiders II
Assassins Creed 3
PES 2013
FIFA 2013
Starhawk
Mass Effect 3
Twisted Metal ...
Nothing will change overnight. We will still see big budgeted games next generation. The good thing is we can have low priced games along with the $60 games we have now on the same system. What will likely occur is mid-priced games that get advertising like current AAA games. It's also likely those lower priced games will be new IP's with greater risks.
$800 is a much more reasonable price tag for a gaming PC. The operating system alone is roughly $100. Also a $800 PC does so much more than just gaming but you'd be hard pressed to build a $400 PC that does much or has decent parts. People also often neglect other things like a case and a CD/DVD drive. That alone is about $80 too. A average video card is $120-$150. RAM is about $50 and up, a decent GPU is $100-$200. A power supply is $50-$150, pending on how much you want to spend. A moth...
There are a few reasons why many prefer consoles.
1. Price. Consoles pretty much have a fixed price and are ready to go out of the box.
2. Ease of use. You don't need to track down patches and updates for your PC parts. The games on consoles for the most part just work once you take the shrinkwrap off. I also get more issues from PC games that require an update right after they release as opposed to console games.
3. Family and friends. P...
It's just one review. There always seem to be that one or two reviews out there for any popular game that gets way too much attention.
If people rely on reviews to base their purchases my suggestion is to read a bunch of reviews and see what is the common denominator. In the case of Halo 4 it seems by far and wide that most critics think it's a great game.
When we focus too much on those one or two reviews we give those reviews more power than they de...
The Kickstarter program is not an indication of success or not. Tim Schafer from Double Fine had a great game called Psychonauts that I thoroughly enjoyed but it was not a commercial success. Yet his Kickstarter has done extremely well. You have many people who donate and there could also be some vested interests in this application to gaming.
The problem I see is that this device will not become mainstream and has many hurdles in front of it, mainly the disorientation gamer...

There are many policies and many backroom deals. This has been the case for a very long time. Microsoft's policy is much like Sony's in that they don't want sloppy seconds in order to remain competitive.
John Carmack once noted Sony has a policy that if a game is released later on (the PS3) that it must include additional content. That is so the game remains competitive because we all know later releases can and do suffer from overall sal...
The only reason I can up with on attacking the Call of Duty franchise is because it over-saturates the market making it difficult for anyone else to compete. However that is why we have a free market, it pushes others to do better.
The simple fact is the Call of Duty games will get dissected much more from the critics than most games because of its popularity. What I find rather amusing is how often these critics take the time to vent about it when all they really have to do ...
Could be a cool game though.
Anything is possible. Microsoft paid for GTA IV's extra content. I'm not sure how I feel about fragmenting content on various platforms. To me it seems a bit ridiculous trying to get consumers to buy multiple systems to play the same game, especially coming from 3rd party publishers. Trouble is this has been happening for a very long time and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.
This will attract an even smaller market than 3D did. On top of that this will make a lot of people nauseous. It's very cool in concept but I don't ever see this becoming very popular.
The Wii U is not the reason why the PS4 may or not be really powerful. The reality is the PS3 when launched cost a lot of money to manufacture. I'm pretty confident that the PS4 (or whatever it's called) will not be a product that cost well over $700 to make. Sony is going through a major restructuring phase and still has to worry about the yen and the economy.
Ken Kutaragi was the main proponent for why the PS3 exceeded budgets. However I do expect the next system to...
How about High Specs at a Low Price?
I was more or less talking about holding the game off until the new Playstation and Xbox arrive but still release it on current hardware. That way they can double dip. Anyways I deserved all the disagrees since what I said wasn't accurate or come out accurate.
This is what 100 million dollars can do. Expect another colossal game next year. The question is, does Rockstar wait until new hardware arrives or sell it to an already established fan base or both?
Awesome indeed if it works. If it does work why haven't the people at Sony mentioned it yet?

A year later after that game is released...
