1. Xbox Live is more secure than PSN
How many people had their information compromised? Haven't heard of any yet. Meanwhile on Xbox Live there are many phishing scams.
2. The Xbox 360 controller is better, especially for shooters
I do prefer the Xbox 360 controller. It just feels better. The Dualshock has analog buttons and a better d-pad but overall I still prefer the 360's controller.
3. Better exclusives if you lik...
I hope so but Microsoft is milking it for all its worth. Don't blame them since they keep selling and making money.
Microsoft and Nintendo mentioned their numbers, now it's time for Sony.
Mika, if you had a hard time believing it sold that much then why was your opening sentence saying only 845k sold?
They can afford to because most of those games have already gone through their selling ability. You are less likely to see games like Gran Turismo 5 for the first year or longer because they continue to sell well long after they are released.
It's the same sort of concept for Netflix. Most of those movies are older titles that don't hold as much value through retail.
Don't know about anyone else buy I cannot wait for the PS4. I think Sony learned a lot this generation and won't be resting on their laurels and come in with an arrogant attitude this time. The launch of games should be much stronger than what we saw on the PS3 as well.
This isn't like an iPhone that has stiff competition and gets replaced on an annual basis. Vita is a product that will be around for years and it takes time to build a fanbase.
The negativity will never stop but the doom and gloom articles may if Vita can gain some momentum.
The truth is negativity sells. It creates reactions within the forums. I personally don't let it bother me because I see it as a materialistic product that can easily be replaced by something else if that product does not live up to the potential. Yes the doom and gloom articles get redundant after awhile but I'm not about to lose sleep over it. The fact is if you enjoy ...
The production of Ferrari cars is limited and often sold out. How does a service selling the same games and for the same price relevant to your analogy of high-performance cars?
This isn't Honda sales versus Ferrari sales. It's a console service competing with another console service that both sell Indie games.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it was and is still far too early to be writing articles about its demise. Wait until after next years holiday season, then we will have a much better understanding how Vita is doing. Right now is the first holiday season so in 2013 we can expect more games since developers will then have more time with it.
I wish them well but I fear the overcrowded shooter market may hurt them. The RPG elements may make the game more interesting than your typical shooter.
Functionally I hope so, atheistically I hope not.
Precisely. There is nothing to dictate what next gen is based purely on specs. If that was the case then how do you ignore the PC and it's ability to erase all of that?
The Wii U is next gen because it's the successor to the Wii. This whole next gen talk has been torn apart long ago because the systems are not running on the same parallel. The Wii was not HD but the Xbox 360 and PS3 were. Yet the PS3 had bluray which was a next gen format at the time. It's become ...
"There shouldn't be a time limit on a demo. Some people can play a demo once and make up their mind while others might want to play a demo over and over before making their mind up "
So you still can't make up your mind trying the demo 10 times? I have a PS3 and there isn't one demo that I can recall that I've played more than twice. I either bought it or deleted it by then. I guess that makes me a sheep.
Bhaaa, bhaaa
Actually, they are advertising it more. I've noticed it more and more lately and they also announced the partnership with Vita which adds even more value to the service.
It's become part of the bundle packages as well, just Like Microsoft does by offering a trial basis for Xbox Live Gold when you buy the system.
I do think it is a good service worth emulating because what Sony has done is keep the integral part of online multiplayer apart and differen...
Could these two be related?

SSD drives are still rather pricey so I don't see that happening unless it's just used for the OS.
I honestly think it will not be called the PS4. Japanese culture is still knee deep in history and superstitions. It doesn't matter to me one bit, I just want Sony to do well. I think they learned a lot with the PS3.
The mods analyze the approval and the marking abilities that members do. They do not read all the comments unless they are marked as well. So if you don't like the topic, mark it and move on.
What is really going on is certain people enjoy the conflict and if you look at the busiest topics usually it's to do with doom articles and argumentative comments within them. Members need to show maturity and not get involved with such theatrics.
It makes sense to release it around November and the Xbox 360 will be 8 years old by then. Long overdue imo.
Before the Xbox 360 came out who would have thought it would still be selling strongly compared to its competitors after this length of time? Who also had the optimism to think it would sell 70 million plus units? I wish all 3 major suppliers well (Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo). We need a competitive market.
I doubt he would say that as well. It sounds like what goes on within the N4G community.
