All valid points but I would replace #4 with less doom and gloom articles writing the system off before it even hits it's 1st anniversary.

It's nice to see the franchise continue to do well. I want racing games to continue to push the boundaries and the genre needs to remain healthy. Can't wait to see what they can do on the PS4.

There is no next gen in gaming because the bar is constantly being raised in PC gaming. Each generation of videocards from Nvidia and AMD are a progression that further advances what is possible.

As for the Wii U it is a next generation console for them. It is clearly a step above what was possible on the Wii.

There are too many variables in gaming because there are so many different types of platforms. So when you have a publisher like EA how do they dictate...

Sadly graphics sell more than performance. Developers will try and push the console graphically at the expense of smooth gameplay. I also expect more games in need up of updates and patches.

Gaming is about having fun, not which is the most powerful. If people really wanted to support the best by design it would be the PC but hundreds of millions don't for whatever reason.

Nintendo has said they are not making any money currently on the hardware and the price is $300-$350. After all the flack the PS3 got for its high price why would Nintendo release a system that is higher than that?

I'm not sure where all this entitlement attitude comes ...

NHL 13 is honorable mention and not even in the top 5? Fail.

I find it frustrating how people are so quick to write things off before even trying it. That could be attributed to games (Fuse, latest Call of Duty), to peripherals (Move, Kinect), to systems (Vita, Wii U).

This could be a fun game if people are willing to actually give it a chance. What I witness all the time in forums is a lot of negativity.

Tumble was great and showed a lot of promise. Unfortunately those titles were few and far between. My main gripe is good software and the camera.

Move was poorly marketed and didn't have the backing of developers.

Different types of communities between the PC and consoles. You also get into the mix with people using a mouse/keyboard against those with a controller. I know the PS3 supports it but I imagine most people use the dualshock. The PC is also more quick because it doesn't have all the mandates put in place. Microsoft has their set of rules, Sony has theirs.

Microsoft really dropped the ball since they also run Windows. They look to finally be tying Windows 8 into one unifi...

Well, I guess that settles it. We will all just have to continue seeing the rivalries here on the forums. Yay.

Bobby Kotick; "You find out two executives are planning to break their contracts, keep the money you gave them and steal 40 employees. What do you do? You fire them,"

If only it were that easy.

It's called trying to work with talented people and not smother them or their creativity. It's not all about the dollar. They probably got sick of working within a bubble of just pumping out Call of Duty games on an annual basis. They also probably t...

This is what it has (potentially) going for them

1. Potentially cheaper software
2. Better platform for indie developers
3. Faster updates and patch approvals
4. Primarily just a game machine (Netflix, cable/movie provider, etc. will not be offered) Some may see this as a negative.
5. Free online service that also supports dedicated servers and mod support
6. The ability to gift and trade online content
7. More powerful hardware...

Sony has done to videogames what Netflix has done for movies. It is essentially a rental service that offers games that have already gone through their selling market value. When it comes to the new Vita support they are offering newer titles so if you are a Vita owner or a potential Vita owner this service is great value. Of course if you own both systems it's an even better value.

Get a decent graphics card and you can make a lot of games visually appealing.

"I politely but firmly believe that you are an idiot and conversing with you is a waste of time."

Thanks, so much for being civil.

You didn't need to reply to my original comment in the first place but decided to do so with a pound of sarcasm. Have fun playing with your lump of coal this Christmas.

Games used to have better testing it seems. Now there are so many patches and fixes. However if there was a problem with a game before they couldn't really do much about it.

Now that so many people are online it's much easier to know about the exploits. As for DLC it can benefit gamers by keeping support for that title. There are lots of games I wish would never end.

Why, did they they ban you? On N4G you're down to one bubble. At least on NeoGaf the accountability of your actions is much higher. It also hosts actual game developers.

I, unlike some people, am open to any new system. It is the games after all that trump the name on the box that contains the hardware.

I just hope the next E3 is much better than the last few.

Funny how this user has blocked me for no apparent reason when he (if you are a female I apologize)responded to an earlier comment of mine. I sent him a PM since I could no longer further discuss the topic. Instead of being civil he quickly responded and then blocked me. Reminds me of some religious fanatic who cannot stand any other persons opinions so they stick their fingers in their ears and do whatever it takes to not listen to any other point of view.

Why come to a publ...
