Still a lot of games to look forward to such as Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, Beyond, Tomb Raider, Pikmin Wii U, Lego Wii U, Sleeping Dogs, Crysis 3, GTA V, DOTA 2, Total War Rome II, Company of Heroes 2 and Metro Last Light to name a few.
How ironic. If anyone takes the time to read your comments they would soon find out you're not a very positive person.
As for whether or not it's going to be called the PS4, that's unlikely. The company is very much Japanese and the number 4 is unlucky. Moving forward and Sony needs all the luck they can get.

Sony needs to serve the purpose of game developers, not what's proprietary to Sony's philosophy. They need to get away from being different, because the Playstation platform relies mainly on 3rd party publishers.
They no longer have the influence within the industry to dictate how games are made.
That's a good deal Gribble, and thank you for finally confirming that you work for Sony.
That's not really logic, Logicwins. Most Xbox 360 owners never bought Halo 4, does that mean most Xbox 360 owners don't know about it?

What game has sold on the PS3 to more than half of the owners? Even Gran Turismo 5 only sold to less than 25% of owners, probably closer to 15%.

How sad, so many people still give way too much attention to companies like Sony or Microsoft while ignoring the actual game itself. The attention should be on the game Journey, not Sony. Do people fascinate about the record label when buying a CD or song from their favorite band?
Play the game and try something different.

What is happening more and more is the attention to smaller titles. I think with the cost of gaming that these smaller games will continue to grow and get better marketing. Services like Playstation Network, Xbox Live...
I didn't realize cars half the price could perform just as well.
I would give Microsoft a C+ for 2012. They need to invest in more ip's that are not Kinect only titles or XBLA games. 2013 should see massive price reductions (for the Xbox 360) along with new hardware.

What people are saying is they have no empathy for Vince. Karma is a bitch.
Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified – 3
Ouch!
It's been a great year for PC gamers, that's for sure.
Both Steam and Xbox Live are easy to use and are quick to update. The PS3, and by the looks of it the Wii U, both need restructuring when it comes to system updates and delays in navigation. The PS3 store is slow and way too many steps to get anything done.
Dishonored for $30. Now that's a deal.
I don't have a problem but by the looks of things you do with all your negativity. Saints Row is already a great franchise that has managed to hold their own against a giant ip like GTA. So why would limiting the availability of it be a good thing? Sony doesn't hold some magic wand and make good developers better, they are already talented. THQ needs someone to turn the company around and if Saints Row were to be an exclusive ip then that would mean potentially less sales.

Here's a question, wouldn't people want Tomb Raider to be better? What's wrong with games like Uncharted being good but future games being better? Or is this just a case of a small group out there who are Naughty Dog groupies and don't want anyone to upstage them?
What's next, banning movies like Expendables 3?
Parents need to do a better job at teaching their children to become mature adults and be contributing factors to society.

They do care about graphics only when it can be used to make the competition appear inferior.

Sounds like Root would love every IP owned by Sony. Thankfully he ain't running the show. Oh well, might as well go back to hating everything in the meantime.

Good luck on it selling 5 million copies if it were only on the PS3.
Of course some will disagree but what is it they are disagreeing with?
It seems like the biggest issue is price. Some may have a problem with it out of value, out of principal or out of not offering any free alternative that allows online play. What they fail to mention is just how easy the service is to use and how seamless and unified it is. Everything runs within. So if you get an invite, want to chat, send messages, go from game to game, it's all done while being conn...
