Funny how people are still so fixated on the small differences in peak performance between the two consoles yet don't really talk about how much better the PC can be.
It's like two kids arguing back and forth about how my Ford Focus is faster than your Honda Civic (or the other way around) while ignoring the performance of a Porsche. For years now we've witnessed the two sides going at it and in the end what was accomplished? Absolutely nothing.
I can see a Kinect Killer Instinct coming. Hopefully if the rumors are true Kinect 2.0 will be much more accurate and not suffer from lag. I could see that being fun with Kinect but not in it's current form.
The article points out a lack of new intellectual property on the Xbox 360 and I agree that that has to change. The Xbox 360 did start out well with unique titles like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Kameo, Viva Pinata, Condemned, Crackdown and others but the last few year...
Root, nevermind. Looking into all of your posts and there is a common theme. You are a very negative person. I hate EA, I hate Resident Evil 6, I hate how franchises are going, I hate this, I hate that.

Perhaps you should read up on things instead of coming to your own conclusion because you have a beef with ...
Hey Root, how about we wait until the product is released before all the doom and gloom? How about we actually give the game a chance before we label it as another EA game and not a game solely for what it is without the branding?
I guess that's too much to ask from gamers of today.
Sales are important, it will spur more involvement in that device. There are many great devices out that that have failed due to not doing well commercially. One thing that should be noted is the lack of Sony handheld software in the top 20. That's not a good sign in your home country.
So feel free disagreeing with that but is that more of an emotional response or a rational one? Software is what drives hardware.
There is a thing called inertia, so if you are trying to turn and are going too fast in a corner or are braking too hard then the steering will be compromised. However if you are suggesting you can't turn any time you brake then yes I agree, that's something that needs to be addressed.
That's because Nintendo sees it as devaluing the content. If you buy a song on iTunes you can play it on any Apple device (up to 5 I believe). This is where the gaming industry continues to fall behind and Nintendo are a prime example of a company who still can't get out of the old days. They continue to have this attitude of that's how we do things in the past and it worked then so why wouldn't it work today? They will never offer their content on non-Nintendo devices either ...
Actually his response is the community within the forums don't represent the voice of all the consumers. He's right in that sense. What people say in forums don't really depict what everyone thinks. You'll find a lot of negativity out there and there are many trolls who feed off of this attitude.
That doesn't mean I like Bobby Kotick or even agree with his ideology of running a business.
I think the reasoning is they tried to get Gold on the PC and realized early on it simply wouldn't work. Microsoft does not control PC gaming. They may have games on Windows but they don't control all the software like they do on the Xbox. They used Shadowrun as a trial bases to show PC gamers the excitement of Xbox Live. Problem is there are other choices on the PC and better features like dedicated servers that Microsoft simply doesn't want to adopt either.
The ...
So you can't compare the Vita and 3DS sales but it's ok to compare Xbox 360 and PS3 sales? I guess whatever suits the argument at the time, right?
Hopefully ZombieU will do well and push other developers to give new game ideas a try. This is why it will be interesting to see what direction both Microsoft and Sony go with their upcoming consoles. Developers are more likely to adopt multiple screen gameplay if more than just Nintendo does it.
Gamers vote with their wallets, so if they keep buying sequel after sequel then they will keep making them. There's no excuse that they need new hardware to create new IP's. ...
Here some visually outstanding games.

Take your pick.
It looks like 2 people (so far) didn't think those numbers were all that amazing. That in itself is amazing.
The next gen consoles will disappoint because we expect gaming to evolve and it hasn't in many areas. Online is one area it has really blossomed but when it comes to actual gameplay what has changed? They tried to offer motion control gameplay and a lot of people felt it was forced and not a natural way of playing games. So what ends up happening is you have a company like Nintendo who tries something like asymmetric gameplay but they can't go it alone. So it never fully materializes ...
It takes time and money to devote people to make games on the Wii U because they will want to take advantage of the Gamepad. That has been a hurdle for Nintendo for years because they constantly make hardware that is unique to their controller. Not too many 3rd party developers are going to invest in Wii U games if it means taking extra resources to make the game a bit different. So again we have this catch-22. You need a fanbase large enough to sell to but that fanbase isn't going to gro...
Development teams have grown. Do you know how many people were involved with Assassins Creed 3? Do you know how long it took Polyphony Digital to model cars for Gran Turismo 5? So yes, as technology advances the gamer expect finer details.
I too am worried about the progression of costs associated with making AAA games. This is why I think we will see less of them and even less new IP's because of the risks involved. The smaller scale games like Fez and Journey will becom...
On one side you had doubters that the Xbox 360 was going to still be around after 7 years and still be this competitive and that it would take this long for the PS3 to catch up. On the other side you have articles like this who make it appear as though the PS3 has lagged when in reality it's actually sold better on average. Remember, the PS3 came out a year after.
The reality is this, the PS3 has bounced back and I would go as far as to say more so than the Xbox 360. Sony...
Anyone with a decent rig will notice right away with games like Battlefield 3 and Far Cry 3. You also have access to hundreds if not thousands of games not currently supported on consoles.
Consoles will always have exclusives which drives consumers to support them (plus other reasons). But don't think for a second that a new Xbox or a new Playstation is what dictates when the next generation arrives.
Actually it should be the other way around. Vita and PS3 owners should hope this type of gaming takes off on the Wii U so that 3rd party publishers will do it on Sony's devices rather than just Sony. It will be much easier to persuade Wii U owners since every Wii U owner will be capable of this type of gameplay.
This type of gameplay needs a Vita and a PS3 which makes the potential customers much lower because you don't know exactly how many customers there are. You ...
We will keep seeing Transformer movies because millions still enjoy them. The same thing will continue with Call of Duty. Why stop the franchise when it still outsells all other games being released year after year?
Those two guys should not have signed the contract (if it was indeed true that they broke it). I personally think companies like Activision should partner themselves better with the people they have and allow more creativity. You shouldn't rest on your laurels...
