Reverent, that's fine. I just get tired of seeing them so much in the spotlight. It takes many people to make a game and they seem to get all the attention. Peter Molyneux can be added to that list too but I would take Hideo Kojima off since he is still in his prime.
Root,
"Mike for the last time, it's a commenting website, where gamers can comment on articles and have discussions, some heated, some where people can all agree, it varies but thats why we have comments. They all can't be one sided can they because people will look like Sheep just agreeing with everyone and will look like they don't have a mind of their own. It's what makes this site interesting....the variety of topics discussed."

gamer42,
"Well in my opinion the Sony fanboys are the worst since they can't make up their #### on how much they care about graphics."
We need to get away from generalizing things. All fanboys are often not taken seriously, not just Sony ones. What I will say is we had a huge feud last generation between the Xbox and Playstation camps all solely because the systems were competing so hard with one another. At the end of the day it was pretty much a wash b...
And David Jaffe, Hideo Kojima, David Cage, and Tomonobu Itagaki. All people that have had way too much press time.
If the system is expensive then why not have games that are system sellers on it? If the reason is because the price is too high then why would anyone make a game for the launch?
Lots of people will buy the PS4 if it had GT6 on it. I would.
PopRocks359 and Alpha are correct. We see far too many trolls that keep popping up telling everyone how so and so is doing everything wrong. The question is why do they keep popping up then if they are so unhappy with what they are doing and saying the same rhetoric in multiple topics? There are other options out there.
Nintendo isn't going to win over the Playstation and Xbox crowd overnight. It is Nintendo's job to keep the interest going.
"Now would you like to remain on-topic?"
Why would he when you put him on the spot. The guy criticizes everything and I too would love to see him make his own game so we can pick it apart piece by piece too.
Super Mario Galaxy was an awesome game and it was no side-scroller. I think the Mario game on the Wii U was a quickly done game to get a Mario game out for launch. I imagine they are currently working on a full scale Mario game right now but it ...
No, it's called a double standard. Just like those that continue to ignore all the negativity towards the Wii U while always defending the Vita.
We have already seen many people attack the next Xbox before any real news has come out while thinking whatever Sony releases is the best thing since electricity.
Hicken,
Why would I further address Cupid when he already explained himself? He's right, Sony didn't have to deviate but they are indeed having issues getting the Vita out there. So is it a case of die trying?
The fact is the Playstation brand didn't force Nintendo to do anything in the handheld arena. In fact Nintendo has shown time and time again it isn't specs that matter in that market. So that counters the original topic. Something you se...
EA has always tried to push themselves and their clout on others. They didn't support the Dreamcast, they were hold-outs on Xbox Live until Microsoft caved in and let EA run their own servers. They didn't support some games on Steam because they are trying to get people on Origin (Battlefield 3).
The problem with EA is they have their own online infrastructure. I also expect EA to fully embrace digital content and discontinue physical discs in the near future.
If that list is all they got consider me not impressed.
I want to see at least 1 new ip at launch and at least 3 new ip's announced that are core games and not XBLA titles. Exclusive titles too, not things like Watch Dogs. If I don't see a commitment from Microsoft buh bye.
What does Sony need to do?
1. Come out with a fair price. No I am not expecting a $299 console but I also don't want to pay over $500 either. Somewhere in-between.
2. Have a decent line-up of games that are polished, not rushed out the door to meet the deadline launch. This includes various genre's and mix of exclusives and non-exclusives. I would think at least 3 strong games that appeal to me is enough.
3. Have the online support re...
"An example was “appointment gaming” where you can, as long as the game supports it, find friends and play with them regardless of the platform"
That would be cool but I doubt it will be that easy. I just don't picture Microsoft wanting to do this or Nintendo.
Cupid Viper, no matter how much you optimize the games on consoles they can and have been trumped on the PC. Battlefield 3 is a perfect example of how it chugged along at 30fps on consoles and was 720p with way less players online. On the PC they did a heck of a lot more. So why should EA make it for the console as the lead platform when we know they can and did more?
Each generation we see consoles compete with PC games early on as the PC front continues to push forward. Sur...
Another reason why I won't be buying any of these consoles on day one. I can wait with all the games I still haven't finished. I learned last gen that waiting a bit definitely pays off.
Well for the first time Sony is actually listening to developers all around the world with the help of designing the PS4. Sony needed to stop making decisions based out of Japan from a Japanese perspective. I support the notion Japan is still very important but it can't be it's main focus. Not when sales are far grater outside of that country.
The PS4 is off to a great start from what I've seen so far. Microsoft is still the wild card.
I wonder if Smartglass support will be some gimmick or something of actual substance?
There will never be technical parity because the PC is always pushing forward. In consoles we had the technically superior Xbox over the PS2 and then we had the technical advantages of the PS3 hardware to that of the Xbox 360. The differences didn't seem to matter two generations ago so why would it now? People should be supporting the PC market more if they want the most advanced hardware. Consoles shouldn't be the lead platform, the PC should be. From there games should be scaled to...
JackBNimble,
You can use whatever name you choose when you signed up. They don't take your credit card information and paste it to your PSN ID.
Yes and no. You can see Microsoft trying to expand Live features. I think they even have IOS support. Of course they also have Windows that can tie the Xbox brand to it. Then you have Sony who are willing to work with Android and now with their acquisition of Gaikai expect that streaming service to be available on other platforms. Perhaps smartphone and such.
Do you see one large company missing from that? It's Nintendo. You see their problem is they are too wrapped up in...
