The Walking Dead was also more of an indie game that was sold in chapters. It's whole design was to be played like that from the start. Heavy Rain was marketed as having beautiful graphics and pushing the PS3 hardware.

David Cage was also trying to push the boundaries of games and be more emotional but that kind of backfired because the game was a set piece with him pulling the strings. The gamer never really felt like they were in control. Also the QTE were not very eng...

I don't think we will see more than 4 million PS4's made by the end of 2013. I expect sell-outs and it will be a hot item. So that would mean upwards of 12 million PS3's sold? Possible but not likely.

"Nintendo would be hurting their bottom line if they released their software on other platforms."

From their point of view, yes.

"There would be no reason to buy a Nintendo console. Mobile game articles lately act like they are the future and a lot of their articles are not accurate."

I'm strictly talking about older titles. People don't still buy NES and SNES systems from Nintendo do they? So why not sell those ga...

"Disagree all you want but waiting for the right time to do this game would of been better then what we got now"

Then prove us wrong with all of your wisdom and make your own game with your own release date. Show us how it's done.

You never saw her go through explosive "how the hell did he/she survive" that moments

You never saw her roll from cover to cover in firefights"

I can pretty much guarantee they will not be still making PS3's in 6 years time. PS3 sales will fall rapidly after the end of 2014. mentioning the PS2 as some sort of guideline is really stretching your optimism.

They won't even be able to manufacture 16 million systems by the end of 2013. They might have a goal of 16 million in the first year but not by the end of 2013.

"Yet here you are, defending Microsoft by attacking Sony."

Tell me Hicken, exactly where did he defend Microsoft?

Here are his two comments:
"First mistake is trusting anything Sony says about themselves or their products. They make good products but if you ask them they're spinning golden thread to build impossible devices."

and

"These huge companies don't need any defense from any co...

As people invest more and more into their online accounts it only makes sense to carry that history with you. I will be very pissed if my bought content doesn't carry over to the next gen. consoles. I don't expect full BC but I do expect my digital content to carry over. Full BC would be nice but its not a deal breaker for me.

Microsoft will not change their plans because of Sony showing us the PS4. It's amazing how rumours and hyperbole come into play. Such as the first comment of not showing confidence. Give me a break.

For all the questionable media we see it pales to the attitude and conduct within forums. So far all we have really to go by is Major Nelson and his E3 comment.

mandf,

My response was about how easy it would be to bring some Nintendo games LEGALLY to devices like the iPhone. We already see emulation on PC's which you're right, they are not legal but they are there and play fine. So if some person can get it to work on the PC then it would be easy enough to get them to work on other devices would it not?

But you're right, we won't see it on anything other than Nintendo platforms which is what i already...

"It's a hit or miss with mobile gaming with no dedicated teams for it right now."

Well considering some 12 year old kid can get the whole NES and SNES library to work on the PC, I think they can manage Super Mario Bros. on an iPhone.

Gee, I dunno. Maybe so that more people can enjoy them?

Nintendo is all about control. They don't want to devalue their games and think supporting IOS and Android somehow cheapens them. Nintendo will only release Nintendo software on Nintendo hardware. They have had a history of not working well with outside parties, do you really think they want to have someone like Apple get 30% of their profits and sell Apple hardware from Nintendo software?

Root,
"In my opinion dmc and Tomb Raider for example fail to do that so I don't understand the nearly perfect scores."

Maybe if you actually played them (the whole game) you'd find out.

Pretty much, and the internet is a notorious forum for which they can congregate to complain. We see it here on N4G every year when Call of Duty comes out yet it sells in the 10's of millions. So who's word do we take as gospel, those that hang out on forums to vent their frustrations or those who are actually spending most of their time enjoying themselves?

JustinWeinblatt, you have multiple layers of buyers.

You have your hardcore group that will rush out and buy anything. Apple has really tapped into this type of customer. Sony also has loyal customers like that but we have seen dents in that shiny armor, notably the Vita and to a lesser extent the PS3. The Vita's adoption rate is lower than the PSP during the same period of time and the same with the PS3 when compared to the PS2. We also see it happening on the Wii U wher...

Sony will also likely show some new games that are new ip's. I also expect a partnership with a 3rd party publisher besides Diablo III.

Why would they deny anything when they haven't even talked about the next Xbox yet? When Microsoft unveils the system they will have to answer the same questions Sony did. Until then they won't be saying anything because right now it's all just rumours on a system that hasn't even been announced.

Graphics make great impressions but after awhile it's the gameplay that becomes key.

I don't want to see developers focusing all of their efforts trying to squeeze every last polygon and not have smooth gameplay. We seen it far too often every generation of frame rate drops, v-sync issues, pop-ups, poor draw distances, sub-HD (current generation), or shielded by smoke and fog, and so on. We have come to the point where consoles should be powerful enough to handle exce...
