He talks about how powerful the PS4 is and how they can do things they couldn't before like climbing (2:32 in the video). So obviously those pretty graphics on the PS3 came at a cost.
This game looks beautiful but I want to see some more advancements in A.I. and movement animations. Hopefully we will in the final...
What exactly did he change? He still thinks the Wii U is going to fail to meet expectations and so far he's right. He is explaining how it's not personal, what he says about Nintendo isn't out of spite. The community can and have been extremely vocal about his comments and take them personal. He sees Nintendo from a business perspective, we see it as a gamers perspective.
I like his answer though, it really is just a box. But like most people we are curious and it is symbolic. It's something we have to look at each day. I like knowing where the inputs are, the design, color. I really liked the design of the PS3 phat model the best out of the PS3 designs.
1. I like how it's getting back to its roots and how they designed the hardware. Asking developers. Enough of the proprietary hardware and complicated architecture.
2....
I agree as well but that's not how things work in music or the movie industry either.
Will Nintendo lower the price of Wii U software and will Microsoft and Sony for their current gen games once the PS4 and next Xbox come out?
Media Molecule also talked about how much they fell in love with the device. It would be pointless to have such an accurate controller vanish and the good thing is it will be compatible with the PS4. The new camera will also have dual lens and can now detect the Move controller and the person separately with greater resolution.
This is true and the demo he showed on the PS4 can show emotion much better just by facial expressions with such detail.
Since when did specs deter success? The PS2 was the most popular system of all time and the original Xbox was more powerful and had a built in hard drive, all for the same price as the PS2.
This isn't like NVidia and AMD trying to outmatch each other.
I don't recall Sony having big events broadcasted online showing upcoming titles outside of TGS and E3 type shows. Yes we have seen some teasers and early release announcements but not one whole segment with a bunch of games like Direct did. I could be wrong.
What Sony should do is have Gaikai take care of it. That way they can have the full PSOne, PS2, PS3, PSP, Vita and PS4 games running through it. They could easily tie it with the Plus service as well. A great revenue source that's for sure.
What we also may see is most games being online only aside from the bigger PS4 titles. Sony and other companies will slowly get consumers to buy digitally which of course will help reduce piracy and second hand game sales.
They need to look at all prior systems and how the public responded to them, including their own. What do consumers really want? Forums don't always show that.
It's sad that so much time and resources are needed to try and combat piracy. Not sad that they are doing it but sad that they pretty much have to.
With the internet being such a public place and a wealth of information it's easy to see why they have to try and take drastic measures to stop piracy. Once the key is out there it becomes very hard to lock the door again.
You are being naive into thinking breaking past security and releasing private information should be a democratic right.
Totally agree. On my computer it's not bad but on mobile it's ridiculous.
Good to see a good Tomb Raider game come out again.
1. They are rectifying the issue of slow start up. Too much time in the past was wasted downloading updates, system loading, forced installs and so on.
2. They put the specs out there, unlike Nintendo who even to this day won't talk about actual specs.
3. They showed actual games and some running in real time.
4. They showed the new controller and hinted at some new possibilities.
5. They are serious about online gaming ...
Consoles in general are the reason why games get dumbed down as you put it. Anyone who is an avid PC gamer knows this. So for those of you who want the best possible experience should be supporting PC gaming.
From all the rumors it looks like the next Xbox and the PS4 will be fairly close in technical specs. so it's not like the difference between the Wii U and these new systems.
I find it rather ironic it's usually those who have a bone to pick with ...
GribbleGrunger might be onto something.

This could be a removable trackpad and could support the rumor of a split controller. How about using a Move controller and then this trackpad together?
Tough call. Being alone on a deserted island with the Sports Illustrated swimsuit calendar models or Rosanne Barr? Decisions, decisions.
True. I have old Steam titles that are old and will likely be there for many years. Even if I buy a new computer.
This article is obviously tongue and cheek. Mentioning that the PS5 will come out as one reason is clear of that.
Same. Awesome series.
