So no quote from the article, thought so. Also why wouldn't they care what Microsoft is doing? If you don't then maybe you shouldn't be here.
I think Sony showed exactly what they needed to show. Unveiling the controller is far more important because that is what we will be using to play our games. The system itself and what it looks like isn't all that important. Why show everything now prior to E3. I was actually expecting less but Sony delivered with 2 hours of stuff.
Can you quote the article where they are praising Microsoft because I can't see it, thanks.
Anyways Microsoft needs a strong showing and is monitoring the reaction of the PS4 event.
Software running on actual PS4 hardware is what you mean. I have no doubt what we saw will be achieved but we know from the past how concept ideas at times don't materialize.
What I seen of the PS4 so far is excellent. They just have to find the right balance for pricing and what games will actually be available for launch.
Sony has created excitement while also leaving gamers wanting more. That's the best way to build hype. It also leaves the compet...
Well if we look at history Sony winds hands down in this category. I hope Microsoft has been busy these last few years expanding and creating new games otherwise the next Xbox might fall flat since the PS4 seems to abolish a lot of issues the PS3 had.
That would be cool but then what would be the need for new hardware?
And now we see everyone disagreeing with me. What, nobody likes the honest truth around here?
ThatKansasGuy just showed us what Jack Tretton meant by Sony fans being the most passionate and loyal.
RaidensRising,
What does insecurity have to do with it? Sony came out and said upfront what the specs are for the PS4. Are you telling us they did that because they are insecure? People like to analyze graphics and know more about the effects going on. This isn't about trashing Killzone.
No, it's not.

"Worldwide, the Vita is pretty much along where we would expect it to be, maybe trending behind in certain territories,"
That was way back in August.

"and how many of them will be Kinect games or games which will force you to add Kinect to have a "better experience". "
Nobody on here actually knows, that's the whole point. But I'm sure that's not going to stop you from fear-mongering until then.
We've seen Microsoft surround themselves with proven franchises like Call of Duty and Gears of War while slowly distancing themselves from less successful games like Lost Odyssey and Kameo. This is what worries me, they seem to be taking very few risks with ip's they market and support.
The Xbox 360 came out pretty strong with hardcore titles that were exclusive like Condemned and Crackdown. We seen that deteriorate over the years. Perhaps they also see Sony struggle ...
Halo ODST 2? I seriously doubt it. I don't want to see any Halo announcements this year. Rare needs to get busy and make some real games.
I want to see at least 2 new IP's from Microsoft announced at E3 that are AA titles and hardcore games. Alan Wake 2 is also rumored but I want to see new ip's as well.
1. The Last Guardian
2. New Final Fantasy
3. Battlefield 4
4. New title from Media Molecule, not Little Big Planet
5. Another upcoming project from Quantic Dream but only a tech demo
6. GT6
7. New IP
8. New IP
9. Next generation Playstation Move game that shows off the new camera from the creators of Sports Champions
10. A huge title with a partnership from a 3rd party publisher
After all the headaches and paying royalties to Nvidia from going to the Xbox 360, I think the next Xbox will have it. They are once again going with AMD and could easily offer it either on the hardware end or through the cloud. Perhaps both Sony and Microsoft will have a streaming service, or continue selling them digitally, that gives consumers the option to play older generation titles. Probably makes more sense from a business perspective.
They could but I hope you're wrong as well. They need to wow people and show us something that blows us away. They can't keep going after the Playstation crowd, they need their own identity like this article suggests. The original Kinect failed to materialize into anything other than a gimmick with a huge marketing campaign. It didn't support the slogan "better with Kinect".
Perhaps the next Kinect will but whatever they do they have to make it so people...
This is also just the start. They will be at E3 as well.
Using search engines to deter interest doesn't really mean much. I did a quick Google search for the PS4 and it came back with over 69 million results. I just did eggs and it came back with 224 million. That's about 4 times the amount. So according to Forbes the PS4 should sell roughly 1/4 of the amount eggs are sold. I think Sony would be happy with those results!
The reason why they singled out Apple is because of how much Apple has gotten their products out there. If Apple is serious about Apple TV then they could get into more homes. Both Valve and Apple work in the digital content distribution channel. Steam has been a great service for PC gamers but I'm not sure Apple is interested in big AAA games.
1. Have Xbox Live become the leader in the industry. Show why people should gravitate to their service again.
2. Have a free option to playing online.
3. Get back to showing games the hardcore crowd wants.
4. Come out strong with new IP's.
5. Prove Kinect 2 actually works and not just under ideal conditions and scripted, if they are rumored to come out with one again.
6. Explain how powerful it truly is ...
I don't think you will see GT6 on the PS3. They pushed GT5 pretty hard on the PS3 and it took quite some time getting there. They have also supported the game a lot.
GT6 will come out on the PS4 but I don't think you will see it until late 2014. To me that makes sense to build up your fanbase and have a major game like that to compete with other platforms and carry the momentum of the PS4. Sony has some major titles they can spread out.
Compared to the PC the PS3 is weak, what point are you trying to make here? MLB The Show is also on Vita, does that mean the PS3 version looks weak? The world does not revolve around Sony no matter how much you want it to.
Funny how not once have you replied about the situation with the original Xbox and how the PS2 was weaker but wasn't a problem back then.
