Well they didn't really have a stellar launch line-up. They had Zombie U, Nintendo Land and a 2D Mario game that drew interest. Other than that some average games and multiplat titles that didn't really do much.

True. Sony seems to have made a checklist of what to do. Easy to develop, an online service that is likely to rival if not overshadow Xbox Live, tons of power compared to the only other console (The Wii U), a history of diversified exclusives, good relations with big publishers and wanting to work with smaller devs and the indie scene.

Jek_Porkins, the PS4 looks to be everything the PS3 should have been and much more. I'm looking forward to it and they so far are doing everything possible to make it a great console. Now you know why they want to add some form of online mode to most games now. Over 12 hours is a good length and even better if it's the type of game you want to play over. That's the reason too why we see Trophies and achievements in games as well to try and make it more appealing for repeat plays.

You're hilarious. Only you could take an article about Sony and twist it around to make sure they are above Microsoft. Microsoft actually loves people such as yourself because they know they are going after the competition in more ways than one. When we start to see Sony's most loyal and supportive fans being overly defensive, and basically lashing out every chance they get at their closest rival, that's when we know they are a serious threat in a market once dominated by Sony.

Look at how supportive they were with Sony and the PS3 back then but blasted Microsoft. Which of course was expected since Microsoft went with ATI instead (on the Xbox 360) after being partnered with Nvidia for the original Xbox.
It's pretty disgusting how developers now have to worry about a vocal minority out there who are negative people to begin with. It's almost like a virus where they want it to spread like wildfire.

They will have some system sellers, that's really the point here. Once they do i expect Wii U sales to pick up.
I'm not sure why the media is so quick to write doom and gloom articles. The Wii U just came out a few months ago. We seen the same thing happen with the Playstation Vita. We should give most systems at least 2 years before we really start writing them off.
Once we see a real 3D Mario game on the Wii U expect the whole world to notice.
