Agreed. A little more puzzle solving that's harder to figure out and larger scale exploration. They did a good job with this one, some of the older games weren't very well done. The controls for one thing are good in this reboot.

I want my digital content to carry over when I get a PS4. It only makes sense. My physical copies I'm not too worried about because that's why I have a PS3 and will keep it. Since I can't copy my digital content I want it linked to my Playstation account and be there when I want to access it. Having it stored on my hard drive offline isn't really the best situation.
I don't think anything has been confirmed just yet.

If it is true and they are the only console doing it then yes, it doesn't sound good. Not for consumers that is but publishers would like it. Microsoft is going to have to have a clear direction with the next Xbox. They won't be able to rely on the competitions mistakes this time or have an advantage of coming out first.
That means Xbox Live will have to prove its worth much more than in the past if a fee is still attached to just gain...
When you approach things from an optimistic point of view you can always put a positive spin on it. Same thing when you approach something with a pessimistic point of view, you can always make it sound worse than it is. The fact is the Vita should be allowed at least 2 Christmas seasons before the media starts writing it off and Nintendo should be allowed more than a 6 month grace period before the media gets on their case too.

It was a bold move and one that is working so far. It's got the media buzzing, it allows 3rd party publishers to at least talk about upcoming games and give Sony some extra marketing.
What it also does it put pressure on Nintendo and not allow them to get too much traction. The Wii U should have actually come out a year earlier. Now people may hold off waiting to find out more about the PS4 (and next Xbox).

Nintendo is taking a loss on Wii U units and will drop the price when they see it as a necessity. The same thing happened with Vita. Vita also had a lack of software to continue driving hardware but I'm sure you'll deny that too.

Microsoft spent a lot of money promoting Kinect and it did help resurge interest in the platform. However it is indeed a gimmick at this point in time because it did not live up to it's hype. I have played Star Wars and it is a gimmick. It's on rails and you really don't do much. I have also played Joyride and there is indeed an issue with the response time. Same with Kinect Adventures. I'd rather see 1080p games at a steady 30fps than a 720p game at 60fps. One could only hope next gen consoles would be 1080p and 60fps but that's likely to be few and far between. 60fps doesn't seem to be a priority on game consoles but having games at 720p on all next gen. consoles is simply lame.
It will be coming this year. I expect once they announce it and a price the Xbox 360 systems will all get a price drop.
